NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Chad Michael Busto, reportedly believed to be from New York, made news in the wake of an unpleasant event involving Drew Barrymore.
The man has earned the title of being the 48-year-old actress' alleged stalker. Busto made news due to a controversial viral video on August 21.
A TikTok video shows Barrymore speaking on stage with host and 'Sex Lives of College Girls' star Renee Rapp at an event at 92Y. Suddenly, she is escorted from the stage as an alleged stalker approaches her.
The man reportedly introduced himself as "Chad Michael Busto," shouting, "I need to see you at some point while you’re in New York," as per Variety.

Why was Drew Barrymore escorted from the stage?
According to records and online posts examined by The Daily Beast, the man who went up to Rapp and Barrymore has a criminal history and a history of being obsessed with famous women.
According to TMZ, the man, who identified himself as "Chad Michael Busto," demanded to speak with Barrymore during the interview as he approached the stage from the audience.
Rapp instantly got to her feet and stepped between Barrymore and the audience as she escorted the 'Santa Clarita Diet' star off the stage.
Has Chad Michael Busto ever been arrested?
The Santa Monica Daily Press reported that Busto may have been nabbed in 2009. He faced charges of resisting police and seven outstanding warrants.
According to the newspaper, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing in various states, including Georgia, Texas, Minnesota, Florida and Wisconsin.
The New York Post discovered a number of police files for a man called Chad Michael Busto.
The files detailed offenses for criminal trespass, resisting arrest, indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, theft, harassment, and other offenses in multiple states, dating back to June 1999 and as recently as January 2022.
However, it was not confirmed if he was the same person at the event.

According to The Daily Beast, Busto was reportedly obsessed with Amber Heard and was banned from an online fan site after complaints of "stalking," "sexual harassment," and "threats" surfaced.
Recent social media posts revealed Busto proposing to Heard on X and sending her messages.
One post showed him being taken out of a Walmart by employees after approaching customers and telling them they were in the "end times" and that he had proposed to Heard.
Busto told customers, "I am still waiting for a reply. "I would like everybody's best wishes."
He addressed Heard directly in other videos. "I hope we are going to see each other soon. And I love you very much," Busto stated in another video released on July 1.

It's not known if Busto knew or had ever met Barrymore. No formal complaint was made, and Busto was not arrested, according to TMZ.
