The Witcher Season 3 promises plenty more monsters and magic where the first two seasons came from — but now with added formalwear.
Following the first teaser that previewed Henry Cavill's last ride as Geralt of Rivia, Netflix has unveiled the first official trailer for the third season, and it's full of big beasties and impressive spells from sorceress Yennefer (Anya Chalotra). This time around, just like last time, Geralt's mission is to protect his ward Ciri (Freya Allan) from basically everyone, meaning they're off to Aretuza, the Continent's magical academy and sorceress Tissaia de Vries (MyAnna Buring).
Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich brings Netflix's adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski's novels into its third season, which according to this trailer, involves some very fancy outfits on Yennefer and Geralt — we spy formal dancing — and a whole lot of sword fighting and monster pursuits.
The Witcher Season 3 lands on Netflix in two volumes this time: Volume 1 on June 29, and Volume 2 on July 27.
