CLEVELAND, OHIO: Logan Paul has come under fire from YouTube watchdog Coffeezilla for failing to reimburse CryptoZoo customers six months after promising to do so in exchange for $1.8 million. Coffeezilla revealed the issues with Logan Paul's blockchain game, CryptoZoo, in a three-part series of films that were posted to his YouTube channel as 2022 was coming to an end.
After some discussion, Logan Paul agreed to pledge over $1.8 million of his own funds to assist anyone who wanted refunds for their purchases. Logan faced criticism from Coffeezilla for not fulfilling his promise to issue refunds on June 29, which was more than six months after he initially made the commitment.
‘$1.8M in refunds’
When Coffeezilla allegedly shared a video that Logan Paul had posted on his Twitter feed, in which Logan discussed a Prime marketing ploy, Coffeezilla also highlighted Logan's commitment to keeping CryptoZoo.
“Hey Logan, was promising $1.8 million in refunds to CryptoZoo victims, and 6 months later not paying ‘another class in marketing’?,” Coffeezilla said.
Apparently making light of Logan's promotion, Coffee responded, "$1.8M in refunds "for those who do not want to wait." 0$ was delivered. Logan's marketing is solid.
Coffezilla further said in a YouTube video, “It’s been six months, so here’s a follow-up. Logan Paul has not paid back his victims, he hasn’t talked about it since he first announced he was gonna pay them back. And what’s worst of all, he doesn’t seem to have a plan in place to refund anyone.”
'Ability to always be in the wrong'
As soon as Coffee uploaded the video on YouTube, fans flooded the comments section with support for him. One fan expressed their admiration by saying, “It genuinely warms my heart to see that you care this much and are still stubborn and set straight on making this right and holding Logan accountable - amazing work.” Meanwhile, another fan said, “am almost impressed by Logan's ability to always be in the wrong.”
Another fan added, “I admire that you’re still keeping this topic relevant coffee. Logan has again pulled a fast one and is unsurprisingly acting like nothing ever happened. While I doubt he’ll ever fully take accountability and refund everything that was taken (even with you calling him out) all we can do is keep pressuring him and his brand until it starts affecting him directly.” Another one stated, “I like how he's following up on this. This is great. You shouldn't give up on this until he actually follows through with his promise.”
CryptoZoo, introduced in September 2021, is an NFT breeding game that offers opportunities to earn ZOO tokens and NFTs. Logan Paul himself described the game as a "really fun game that allows you to make money."
