AUSTIN, TEXAS: Thanks to his successful podcast, Joe Rogan has had the chance to interview a number of well-known people, which has occasionally resulted in intense arguments over the years. Rogan is the most well-known contributor on Spotify with his show, 'The Joe Rogan Experience', where he frequently engages his audience in debates on a variety of contentious issues.
This has included persistent boycotts of Bud Light, the so-called transgender ideology, vaccinations, and President Joe Biden's health. His opinions frequently influence social media language in some way, sparking further online discussion. While most celebrity appearances have gone off without a hitch, a handful have given rise to heated exchanges between the titular host and his visitors.
Nick Di Paolo
When comic Nick Di Paolo and Joe Rogan had a chat about then-President Trump in January 2019, things got hot. Di Paolo made a reference to earlier claims of cooperation when talking about Russia and its president Vladimir Putin, saying, "This idea that Trump's working with him is f****** silly."
"Well, I don't know about that. I don't think he's working with him to undermine democracy, but I definitely think they've got some business dealings," Rogan countered, "But that's not illegal," Di Paolo responded. "None of that is illegal."
Di Paolo was furious as he disparaged every media outlet and said that each had a bias toward the real estate magnate. Rogan, for his part, pulled up many stories that listed the lies revealed by Trump.
Mikhaila Peterson
The Canadian clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson's daughter, Mikhaila Peterson, appeared on 'The Joe Rogan Experience' in 2021 and promoted the supposed advantages of adopting a meat-heavy carnivorous diet. Rogan disputed Peterson's assertion that individuals are lacking in the strength to exercise when he cited the enhanced energy such a diet afforded those who were on it.
In his attack on the "average fat f***," Rogan claimed that those who don't have significant health problems are just "making excuses" when they say they don't have the stamina to exercise.
Diet is unquestionably a component of it, said Rogan. Yet another factor is discipline, he added, noting that these things don't preclude one another.
"I kind of agree," Peterson said. “In my opinion, I've seen my dad, and he was very—you can see from the videos from 2014 before he began going low carb and everything—he was carrying around 50 more pounds. He also lacked the energy to work out.”
Tom DeLonge
Although Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 and Rogan's 2017 interview didn't quite devolve into a debate in the strictest sense, the host seemed eager to refute several of the musician's claims on unidentified flying objects (UFOs).
DeLonge, who prefers the term "advanced aerial threats" over "UFOs," said he first became interested in the topic when he was a junior in high school. After starting his band, he maintained his research by reading for hours on tour buses. "At the time, there were no cellphones, so we were buying books... Once you've done that, all is lost, and you're done."
It appeared like everything was set up for a fun conversation when Rogan said that he had grown up being "obsessed" with the topic.
DeLonge explained that time travel takes place in a "artificially created bubble of gravity," and that "you literally could fly around and grab a Coke out of someone's hand and put it in someone else's hand." Rogan inquired where DeLonge got his information, and things soon escalated into a heated discussion.
