Lil Baby speaks out on 'sick' viral video
Rapper Lil Baby has shut down claims that he is featured in a NSFW video circulating online. The fuzzy recording was said to feature a man resembling the 28-year-old performing a sex act. It didn't take long for him to turn to his Instagram Story to hit back at internet rumours, calling it "dumb ass click bait" (sic). "Y'all gotta stop using my name and likeness when y'all get bored, then the extremes mfs go to for clout is sick," he wrote to his 23.1 million followers. "Ain't no mystery in my history on NO LEVEL. This is my last time addressing any kind of dumb ass click bait." While the source is unknown and it is unclear whether the footage was created through AI, there has recently been a surge in deepfake porn – mostly targeting female celebrities and influencers. Cybersecurity expert and What the Hack podcast host Adam Levin previously explained to Indy100 that deepfake porn is created mainly for profit – but also a strange way for people to "show off editing skills and click trolling." "This sort of content predates the web," Levin explained, "Because it is mostly a digital activity now, it can be difficult, if not impossible, to trace back content to the person who created it." Worryingly, Levin explained that "as long as every party involved is a legal adult, there aren’t very many laws on the books to prevent or punish the distribution of illicit content." He claimed "it’s nearly impossible to remove any content published online, pornographic or otherwise," before adding: "That said, if all the parties are known, there may be legally actionable kinds of deepfake porn content." Scott Disick's daughter called him out for dating younger women
In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kris and Khloé were on a mission to find a new girlfriend for Scott Disick, ex of Kourtney and father of their three children. Since splitting from Kourtney in 2015, Disick has had numerous public relationships, with most of the women being significantly younger than him. Such as Sofia Richie, who was 19 when the pair started dating, whilst Disick was 34. Ahead of their matchmaking, Kris and Khloé visited Disick to see what he was looking for in his next partner. "I just need somebody who doesn't give up on somebody, you know?" Disick told Kris when asked to describe his perfect woman. "I have been through, like, a lot of different things. I definitely know I'm not easy and I'm not perfect." Scott and Kourtney's 11-year-old daughter Penelope then entered the room, with Khloé enlisting her help to figure out what they should be looking for. But one requirement had viewers laughing: "Older". Disick himself has acknowledged that in order to move on form Kourtney he should probably start dating someone "more age-appropriate". Khloé suggested Disick start dating women in their "late 20s" but this didn't seem old enough for Penelope who said "No! 20s?! You're 40! You're not gonna date someone 19." Scott admitted he would date someone that age but it would "not be a good look". Many viewers loved Penelope's bluntness: However, some didn't see a funny side and thought it was "gross" that he would date someone only eight years older than his daughter. Emily Blunt apologises after ’fatphobic’ 2012 interview resurfaces
Actress Emily Blunt has apologised after a video of her making a "fatphobic" comment resurfaced online. The clip, which was from a 2012 interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, shows Blunt telling a story where she refers to a Chili's worker as "enormous" for seemingly no reason. "The girl who was serving me was enormous. I think she got freebie meals at Chili's", Blunt said to TV host Jonathan Ross who responded to her description of the woman by saying: "Nothing wrong with that." In a statement issued to The Independent, Blunt apologised for her comments saying: "I just need to address this head on as my jaw was on the floor watching this clip from 12 years ago. I'm appalled that I would say something so insensitive, hurtful, and unrelated to whatever story I was trying to tell on a talk show. "I've always considered myself someone who wouldn't dream of upsetting anyone so whatever possessed me to say anything like this in that moment is unrecognisable to me or anything I stand for. And yet it happened, and I said it and I'm so sorry for any hurt caused. I was absolutely old enough to know better." Many called out Blunt's comments on social media when the video first resurfaced. Others called the comment "unnecessary" and said Blunt appeared to "be a not very nice person". Some said they felt sad for the waitress who was likely excited to meet Blunt, only to see her being shamed for her body on TV by the actress. JK Rowling says she would ‘happily’ serve prison time over trans views
JK Rowling has revealed she would "happily" serve two years in prison over her transgender views. Taking to Twitter/X, the Harry Potter writer - who has been outspoken on her views on the matter - responded to a Mail on Sunday story that suggested a hypothetical Labour government could introduce gender-related “aggravated offences," which may carry up to a two-year sentence. The report added how misgendering a transgender person could be listed as an "aggravated offence." “I’ll happily do two years if the alternative is compelled speech and forced denial of the reality and importance of sex," Rowling tweeted and then noted how she would fight the charge. “Bring on the court case, I say. It’ll be more fun than I’ve ever had on a red carpet.” The 58-year-old then joked about what kind of duties she would do in prison if she were ever in that scenario. “Hoping for the library, obviously, but I think I could do ok in the kitchen,” Rowling said. “Laundry might be a problem. I have a tendency to shrink stuff/turn it pink accidentally. Guessing that won’t be a major issue if it’s mostly scrubs and sheets, though.” Before imagining what prison life would be like, Rowling had tweeted a photo from Dazed magazine which in 2018 projected the statement, “Repeat after us: Trans Women are Women,” onto the British Ministry of Justice offices. “No,” she wrote as the caption, sharing her opposition to the statement. Britney Spears finally confirms how things ended with Justin Timberlake
Britney Spears has detailed how her relationship with Justin Timberlake ended when the former NSYNC star dumped her via a text message. In her upcoming memoir The Woman in Me, the 41-year-old singer revealed how the "devastating" break-up of the three-year relationship back in 2002 impacted her. “I was comatose in Louisiana, and he was happily running around Hollywood,” she wrote in an excerpt as per the New York Times. Spears said the break-up affected her so much that she considered quitting the music industry at the time. After Timberlake released his "Cry Me a River” music video where it's believed to portray Spears, she commented on the women's likeness and noted how the video had "a woman who looks like me cheats on him and he wanders around sad in the rain." Following their split, the Baby One More Time singer noted the difference in how the media characterised her and Timberlake. She believed the media presented her as a "harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy," and expressed how she felt forced by her father and management to do the infamous Diane Sawyer interview where was quizzed on her former relationship. Meanwhile, Spears admitted in the new memoir that she was unfaithful during her relationship with Timberlake - claiming she "made out" with dancer Wade Robson at a bar one night. But the pop star also alleged that Timberlake also cheated on her during their time together, but didn't name who with. Another personal detail that Spears revealed was how she fell pregnant during her relationship with Timberlake and ended up getting an abortion in late 2000 after Timberlake said they were "too young" to be parents. The Woman in Me will be released on 24 October. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. Kanye West accuses Elon Musk of playing him to boost 'struggling' X in explosive leaked text
Kanye West is used to causing outrage on Twitter/X, having been banned from the platform in the past. But now he’s accusing Elon Musk of taking advantage of his clout in a bid to boost the “struggling” platform’s numbers. The controversial rapper, 46, apparently sent his friend, stylist Ian Connor, a screenshot of a furious text message he’d sent to the Tesla founder. He then told Connor, a former consultant for the Yeezy brand, to “get [the message] out to the public”. The 29-year-old duly obliged, posting a zoomed-in grab of Ye’s text on Instagram for all to read. Allegedly addressing Musk, the ‘Gold Digger’ star wrote: “When are we going to speak. “You owe me nothing. You never have to speak to me again. But if we do speak the nature of the relationship has to change.” It went on: “I’m not bipolar I have signs of autism from my car accident. “You can’t watch Kim keep my kids from me and not say anything publicly and then call yourself my friend so I can bring my audience to your struggling platform.” The bizarre diatribe, with its sudden, stream-of-consciousness-style changes of topic, includes references to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, his mental health, and a car crash in which he nearly lost his life. The near-fatal accident occurred when he was driving home from a recording studio in October 2002. He miraculously survived but his jaw was shattered. He famously rapped about his recovery process, with his jaw wired shut, in the 2004 classic ‘Through the Wire.’ And yet, his claim that he is “not bipolar” runs at odds with numerous accounts of his struggles with the disorder over the years. He was reportedly diagnosed with the condition back in 2016 and, since then, a number of his more shocking outbursts and behaviours have been attributed to manic episodes stemming from the illness. Indeed, back in 2020, Kim defended her then-husband after he penned a series of jaw-dropping tweets about her and her mother Kris. The mother of his four children wrote at the time: “"He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bipolar disorder (sic).” And whilst she has been less ready to jump to his defence since their split, she has also refuted claims that she has been preventing him from seeing their kids. In March last year, Kanye shared a photo to Instagram of their daughter North's backpack, saying he had spotted the design “when I was 'allowed' to see her last week." Kim fired back in a comment, which she subsequently deleted, telling him to "stop with this narrative” and pointing out that he’d seen their children that same morning. Elsewhere, it’s fair to say he hasn’t had the smoothest relationship with Musk. He was banned from Instagram for his horrifying antisemitic rants last year and was suspended on X/Twitter by Musk, who said he "tried [his] best" to reason with the hip-hop-star-cum-designer. “He again violated our rule against incitement to violence,” the billionaire wrote in December last year after Ye praised Adolf Hitler in an interview with Alex Jones. The 46-year-old’s account was suspended at the time and then reinstated around eight months later, however, he’s still yet to post on the platform. Logan Paul reveals why he won’t be honouring promise to a MMA rematch with Dillon Danis
YouTuber turned MMA fighter Logan Paul has explained why he has done a 180 on his promise of an MMA rematch with Dillon Danis. On Saturday (14 October) at Manchester's AO Arena, Paul and Danis took to the boxing ring in their anticipated fight which was preceded by a violent press conference and a lawsuit made against Danis by Paul’s fiance Nina Agdal for cruel trolling. Paul defeated Danis in the ring but has since gone back on his promise of an MMA rematch, despite agreeing with a handshake. During an episode of his podcast, Impaulsive, Paul was asked if he was going to uphold the promise. He replied: “No, and you know why? I said I would if he gave me his whole purse, which is not gonna happen obviously… Bro, he doesn’t deserve the platform.” “We saw the kind of person he is. I walked into the arena to boos, I left to cheers. No one likes that dirty fight s**t, bro. You came to box, like, respect the sport. Respect me as an opponent.” Paul went on to discuss how Danis had trolled him and his fiance for months before the fight and tried to “ruin someone’s life” before showing a poor performance in the ring. He continued: “Back up your words. Are you a man? You can’t talk that much s**t for three months. You can’t try to ruin someone’s life and then come in there with that kind of performance.” Danis is in the process of appealing his loss to Paul after he was defeated by disqualification following repeated attempts to use illegal MMA moves in the boxing fight. Inside the conspiracy Eminem died in 2006 and was replaced by a clone
There has been a range of conspiracy theories surrounding celebrities over the years, from Steve Jobs faking his death to Katy Perry actually being JonBenet Ramsey. There is now another outlandish theory that Eminem died in 2006 and was replaced by an android clone. The theory first started after some fans began to notice a change in his voice over the years, often naturally occurring amongst singers and rappers due to years of strain on the voice, as well as ageing. The theory escalated when Spanish website La Guía Del Varón decided to claim that the rapper had died in a car accident back in 2006. Some fans also pointed out slight changes in appearance such as jaw shape and overall facial structure, something that can occur as a person ages. Looking for more to back up their theories, fans then turned to Eminem's lyrics and music style, where they cite 'significant changes' since 2006 (when he supposedly died). Back in 2013 there was also footage of Eminem supposedly 'glitching' on a live ESPN report which convinced people even more that he was an android. @grace.mitscherlich Reply to @purpleheadedqueeflicker_ #clone #eminem #conspirancytheory Others, though, said "That's just Eminem being Eminem." But after rapper B.o.B posted a series of cryptic tweets in 2016 that claimed human cloning had existed for years, many saw it as even more proof that Eminem was now a clone. But whilst some believe it most are more sensible about what caused the changes with Eminem, such as age and stylistic evolution. "You're reaching way too far," wrote one user under a video about the conspiracy theory. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy.
