Dorit Kemsley is being sued by a nurse who claimed she helped the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star during her recovery from a plastic surgery procedure. The nurse accused Kemsley of not paying for her services. Natalie Vanderstay, the medical assistant who served the star, alleged that she did not pay her $8,600 in damages for her work at Kemsley's home from November 16, 2022, to November 20, 2022.
"I am a private duty nurse and I provided medical services for [Dorit]. [Dorit] had plastic surgery and hired my services for day and overnight care; to monitor and assess her pain, and administration of medications and treatments (as directed per her physician's orders). "Addressed all her medical needs and concerns," the medical assistant Vanderstay claimed in the court documents, according to Radar Online.
A court judge ordered Kemsley to settle the payment
Detailing the invoice after her services, Vanderstay stated, "I submitted an invoice to [Dorit] after my services were completed and [Dorit] has refused to pay me by the hours I worked at my hourly rate of $100. I worked 86 hours at $100 an hour, which totals $8,600."
As per the court hearing in April, a judge ordered Dorit to pay the private duty nurse a total of $8,675. As she was not present at the court during the initial hearing, the nurse also requested the Beverly Beach by Dorit designer to appear at the court to submit her financial records to help Vanderstay retrieve payment.
Dorit's previous legal battles
Kemsley has been in legal debacles over the past few years. A Las Vegas Hotel Bellagio sued her and her husband PK Kemsley after a music manager accused them of not paying for a $3.6 million casino marker for almost a decade. The couple then settled the payment in 2022.
In August 2018, a video surfaced online of a person confronting Kemsley over money she was accused of not paying her former Beverly Beach partner Ryan Horne. "Why don’t you pay back Ryan Horne the money you owe him? You cheap bitch," a woman shouted at her during the cast’s Bahamas. Horne accused Kemsley and her husband of not paying back $205, 000 given for her new swimsuit line. She then counter-sued Horne as she called him "merely a vendor" for her brand, according to the US Magazine.
