NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: ‘The Big In A Small Town’ country singer Jimmie Allen is facing a legal nightmare. He is battling multiple sexual assault allegations from his former manager and another woman.
The star was dropped by his record label BBR Music Group, his agency UTA his publicity firm Full Coverage Communications. He is also going through a divorce from his pregnant wife following the allegations. He is reportedly worried that he could lose his entire fortune and reputation fighting lawsuits as more accusers may come forward.
Will Jimmie Allen lose his fortune?
According to RadarOnline sources close to the situation revealed that the Grammy award winner is terrified that the millions he has made in the past couple of years will be spent on fighting the cases and that he will be left penniless. The sources also claimed that more women may emerge with similar allegations against the singer, who has denied any wrongdoing. Jimmie’s legal troubles began earlier this year when his ex-manager sued him for alleged sexual abuse. She accused him of raping her in 2021 after a taping of American Idol and of repeatedly groping and filming her without her consent during their employment. She said she resigned in 2022 due to depression from the alleged abuse.
Jimmie Allen denies sexual assault allegations and countersues accusers
A few days later, another woman filed a lawsuit against Jimmie, alleging that he secretly videotaped himself attacking her in Las Vegas in 2022. She said Jimmie wooed her for months before the alleged incident. The ‘Best Shot’ crooner has strongly denied the allegations, saying that they are “deeply troubling and hurtful” and that they have “no truth to them whatsoever”. He reportedly said that he counted both women as “one of my closest friends, colleagues, and confidants” and that any intimacy was consensual. He also said that his career has been ruined and he has been unable to book gigs as a result of the alleged lies spread about him.
"These false allegations have caused me to lose a vast number of business and endorsement opportunities that I worked extremely hard for. These false allegations have also not only harmed me but have caused severe financial damage to my band, my team, and their families," he said in a statement earlier soon after countersuing the accusers.
Jimmie Allen’s divorce drama adds to his legal woes
Last week, Jimmie countersued both accusers, seeking damages for defamation, emotional distress, and interference with contractual relations. He also demanded that they stop making any further false statements about him. In court documents obtained by the publication, Jimmie said, “As a direct and proximate result of Defendant’s false and defamatory statements, plaintiff has suffered and continues to suffer substantial damages to his reputation, career, and livelihood. Plaintiff has been unable to book gigs or perform as a result of Defendants’ false and defamatory statements.”
The drama comes after Jimmie’s estranged wife Alexis Gale filed for divorce from him in February. The couple, who have a son together and are expecting another child, got married in May 2020.
