WIMBLEDON, LONDON: Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez recently ended their marriage. Since the split earlier this year, the singer and the luxury real estate agent "have been quietly and lovingly working on their friendship."
Grande was seen with 'Wicked' co-star and friend Jonathan Bailey enjoying the Wimbledon Men's singles on July 16. She was spotted without her wedding band and engagement ring and is currently in London for the filming of 'Wicked.'
Why did Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez split?
Grande and Gomez separated after a "rough patch." In August 2022, the 'Positions' singer who shared a makeup tutorial on TikTok was not wearing her wedding ring. However, she denied the rumors at the time and said, "I'm just not wearing my wedding ring, it's getting cleaned. I'm not getting a divorce before you start, don't."
The actress took to Instagram in May to celebrate her second wedding anniversary with Gomez in May. Marking "3.5 together" years of being a couple, she wrote, "I love him so." For Valentine's Day, Gomez shared pictures of himself with Grande which she reposted.
Gomez also shared some loving photos for Valentine's Day this year, while Grande reposted. "My forever valentine," read his picture while Grande's reshared post read, "I love you" with a heart.
Inside Grande and Gomez's married life
In May 2021, Grande confirmed she got married to Gomez. "The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier," she said at the time. The duo tied the knot in an intimate ceremony. The event at their Montecito home in California was attended by less than 20 people, according to People.
Following the ceremony, an insider told the outlet, "They're a great fit together," and added, "Dalton's entirely unfazed by the scope of her celebrity and is very grounding for her. He's young but mature and knows what he wants out of life."
A second source added of Gomez: "He is very hardworking and focused. He is low-key and doesn't like attention. He isn't impressed by celebrities. He is perfect for her," another source said of Gomez.
In January 2020, the 29-year-old songwriter and 27-year-old real estate agent began dating and announced their engagement in December 2020. Though Grande shared rare updates on her marital life with Gomez with her last post in November 2022, the exes have kept their relationship private.
