NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a recent new bizarre video, ‘Today’ meteorologist Al Roker was brutally slammed by his wife Deborah Roberts as she called him a “lunatic” and begged him not to post the video.
When it comes to Roker, the TV personality always makes sure to give his fans updates about his personal life. Apparently, he does so even if it means getting roasted by his own wife.
Ever since the ‘Today’ weather reporter had a major knee replacement surgery, he has been more careful about his health.
His Instagram often features small clips showcasing his morning or evening walk alongside Roberts and sharing his motivation with his followers.
Why did Deborah Roberts call Al Roker a lunatic?
‘GMA’ Deborah Roberts hilariously ripped into her husband in a new video posted by Roker on his Instagram.
The video featured Roker filming himself and dancing wildly on their front lawn while lip-syncing to a song. The 68-year-old sang Elton John's ‘Bite Your Lip’ as Roberts screamed in the background, saying, “You’ve lost your mind.”
However, it didn’t stop Roker from having fun as he kept filming and dancing while also capturing Roberts’s reaction.
As Roker flipped his camera toward her, she said, “Do not post that! Do not post that. You look like a lunatic.” Roberts was standing on their front porch in jeans and a plain shirt.
Roker ignored his wife’s reaction as she begged him to not post the video and he continued to sing the song with his mouth wide open.
By the end of the video, she again said, “No. Don’t do that.” However, the ‘Today’ host evidently went against Roberts and ended up sharing the video on his Instagram.
He captioned the post, “#sunsoutfunsout Dance in the sunshine. Thanks @eltonjohn for the advice: #biteyourlip #getupanddance. Sorry @debrobertsabc.”
Al Roker and Deborah Roberts’s couple workout
Earlier last weekend, Roberts playfully left Roker behind during their shared walk, capturing the hilarious moment in a video shared on her Instagram story.
In the footage, the ‘GMA’ star waved back at her husband as he trailed behind. Roberts explained, "As we do in so many things, we don't stay in locked steps. I'm going to take off. He's going to hang back and do his thing."
With a smile, she added, "We're just going to meet up later," before bidding a spirited, "See ya!" and sprinting ahead.
On his own Instagram reel, Roker crossed paths with his wife as he picked up his pace. Playfully, the couple exclaimed in unison, "Look at you! No, look at you!"
Roker captioned the post, "Perfect weather for a #step it up Saturday and even ran into and past Deborah Roberts. Hope you’re enjoying your day and a shout out to my Today Show family.”
Despite moving at a more leisurely pace than his partner, the NBC star displayed a remarkable improvement in his fitness compared to four months ago, when he underwent knee replacement surgery.
