LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Joey King is enjoying her life to the fullest! ‘The Kissing Booth’ actress recently celebrated her bachelorette party in Napa Valley and shared some interesting photographs over her social media. The charming star can be seen in an off-white linen halter-neck dress with Cakebread Cellars in the backdrop. She even wore a white veil, shades, and a beige tote accessory over her shoulder. In one of the pictures, she was hugging her elder sisters, Kelli King and Hunter King.
Joey is an Emmy Award nominee for portraying Gypsy Rose Blanchard in the Hulu miniseries ‘The Act’. Her character was sent to jail for killing her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. King announced her engagement to Steven Piet in an Instagram post, "I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can't help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy," she wrote. "The date was 2/2/22 when you asked me to marry you and made me the luckiest lady alive. I love you more than an Instagram caption could ever do justice. Hanging out with you forever sounds like a real dream, so let's do it," she added.
Who is Steven Piet?
Steven Piet is a director-producer who has worked in several web series, and movies. Presently, he is engaged to actress Joey King, and the pair have been together since 2019, as per PageSix.
Some of his work as a director include episodes of ‘Channel Zero,’ ‘Briarpatch' and ‘The Act,’ which featured King as Gypsy Rose Blanchard. The 32-year-old also co-wrote and directed the 2015 indie flick ‘Uncle John.’ Moreover, he was a co-executive producer of both ‘The Act’ and ‘Briarpatch.’
'You've unlocked a dimension of love in me'
Piet wrote on his Instagram post when he proposed to King after dating for three years in 2022, “The weather was less than perfect. Cold. Windy. Perfectly imperfect to ask my best friend to spend a lifetime together. A lifetime of incredibly safe and vulnerable conversations. Holding hands on silent cab rides home, exhausted from great food and red wine. And oh, the laughter. The uncontrollable laughter. You've unlocked a dimension of love in me that I never knew existed."
Joey King previously dated her co-star Jacob Elordi, before splitting within a year. “For me, I’ve publicly gone through some things, privately gone through some things. It’s all about finding your balance, finding what makes you comfortable. And it can be brutal, but, you know, happy endings do come to those who are patient,” she said back then.
