LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty are rumored to have fought while working on the '90s drama 'Beverly Hills, 90210'. 'The Bad Influence' actress said in August 2019 that she and the 'Charmed' actress nearly had a physical altercation while filming. "I'm pretty sure I got in her face, but we're just both strong Aries women. We don't back down — no matter what," Garth stated on 'Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen'.
Doherty recently posted a video about her cancer struggle just moments before brain surgery, in which she described herself as "petrified". According to the Daily Mail, Garth has vowed to support her former co-star with "whatever she needs" throughout her challenging battle with cancer. It seems Garth wants to put their feud behind them after Doherty disclosed that her breast cancer had spread to her brain. She uploaded a video on Instagram and wrote, "January 16, 2023. Surgery. I had a tumor in my head they wanted to remove and also biopsy. I am clearly trying to be brave but I am petrified." Her post was accompanied by a moving video of herself crying while she underwent cancer treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Jennie Garth supports Shannen Doherty
Garth was recently spotted shopping in Los Angeles. When asked if she was going to support Doherty at this time, Garth responded, "Obviously. Whatever she needs." Garth was spotted wearing leggings, a black tank top and sneakers. She strolled inside a grocery store holding her reusable bags with her blond hair pulled back into a ponytail and wearing dark black sunglasses.
Fans accuse Jennie Garth of 'leaving' Shannen Doherty
On the sets of 'Beverly Hills, 90210, Garth and Doherty fought almost constantly. When several fans accused Garth of allegedly leaving Doherty out of social media posts when they both attended 90s Con earlier this year, the internet was abuzz with rumors again. At 90s Con back in March, Tori Spelling, Jason Priestley and Ian Ziering joined Doherty and Garth in a rare photo. Garth provided fans with a behind-the-scenes look at her reunion with a number of her former cast members by sharing pictures on social media. She wrote in her post, "It was more like Friends Con Loved seeing some familiar and friendly faces this weekend."
Though Doherty was present at the event, people noticed that she was conspicuously missing from the photos. A few hours later, the 'What I Like About You' actress responded to the rumors of a quarrel with Doherty by adding another comment to her post, but she spelled Doherty's first name incorrectly twice, which made matters worse. "OK. everyone needs to take a deep breath… 1. i simply didn’t have a picture of me with shannon on my phone to add. 2. i didn’t have access to a shannon banner backstage. Like there wasn’t one lying in the pile. 3. we had almost completely diff schedules so sadly we barely saw each other. 4. stop making assumptions when you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. 5. please stop reaching to paint such a negative narrative. here and everywhere," she wrote. Later, she shared a snapshot of the entire cast, including Doherty.
