LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Joy Behar is the senior-most co-host on ‘The View’ and will be turning 81 in October 2023. Being a comedian by profession, Behar carries a certain level of honesty and humor that goes along well together. Recently, as the co-hosts talked about relationships and methods to spice it up, Behar couldn’t help but mention her own husband.
Behar has been married twice. After her divorce from Joseph Behar, she married Steve Janowitz in 2011 and has been happily married since. As Behar’s co-hosts and she discussed couples flirting with people other than their partner in order to spice up their relationship, Behar dished out Janowitz’s response to when someone flirts with him.
Who is Steve Janowitz?
Undoubtedly, Janowitz is best known for being Behar's husband as she has established herself as a comedian, actress, and talk show host, with experience that spans decades. Janowitz, however, has always been away from show business as he is a retired school teacher. Janowitz was born in New York City, New York, and is only a year older than his wife. Janowitz and Behar began dating in 1982 and dated for over two decades before getting married. Once, in an interview with Huffington Post, Behar joked about their secret to a happy marriage, saying, “We've discovered the key to a happy marriage. I'm out of the house 14 hours a day.” Huffington Post also confirmed that Behar briefly broke off her engagement with Janowitz in 2009, two years before they got married. However, at this time, they continued being together. Janowitz and Behar don’t have any children together, although Behar does have a daughter, Eve, from her first marriage with Joseph.
‘He’s too scared’
As ‘The View’ co-hosts discussed their thoughts on their partners flirting with others or having other men or women flirting with them, Behar talked about how Janowitz responds to being flirted with. Behar said, “Steve was hit on a couple of times at a party one time and he was like uh…my girlfriend is over there,” she imitates him before continuing, “He got so scared, he’s too scared.” As the co-hosts had a laugh over Behar’s comment, she reaffirmed that Janowtiz is indeed scared when someone flirts with him.
