LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Jeopardy!’ host Mayim Bialik burst into laughter as she felt skittish after a contestant shared a hilarious and wild on-stage story. The longtime game show host cracked up on live TV and had a playful moment with a contestant.
The 47-year-old ‘Jeopardy!’ host Mayim Bialik couldn’t contain herself on live TV after contestant, Bryan White, a senior regulatory compliance analyst from California, revealed a ridiculous story in an interview break during Double Jeopardy! trivia. On Wednesday, June 28, Bryan White faced Virginia lawyer Vic Goel, and returning champ Chris Ban, an oral and facial surgeon from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was during the Double Jeopardy! round that Bryan shared his background story which was about him winning a hairy chest contest.
‘Shake what our mothers give us’
During a recent episode, ‘Jeopardy!’ champ Chris Ban returned on the show with a one-day total of $13,000. Chris emotionally expressed his desire to use his winnings to construct a boathouse as a tribute to his late brother. Overwhelmed with gratitude, he pointed upwards when declared the champion. Although fans eagerly anticipated Chris' continued success, however, Bryan ultimately stole the spotlight with a captivating story.
In an interview break, Mayim Bialik questioned Bryan about a contest that he had won. Bryan humorously responded, “Well, Mayim, on a cruise, I won the hairy chest contest.” Bialik burst into laughter, momentarily hiding her face and bowing down to contain herself. Bryan continued with a straight face, saying, “For Jeopardy! contestants, it's not all time spent in the Eiffel Tower. Sometimes we gotta shake what our mother gives us.” The audience and Bryan's rivals found the comment amusing, and Bialik jokingly stated, “I have nothing else to say to you, Bryan”.
Bryan White’s wild win
Bryan White proved to be a formidable player in the game. He found both Daily Doubles in the Double Jeopardy! round and answered nearly 30 out of 60 clues overall, despite missing the second Daily Double for $2,000. Going into Final Jeopardy, Bryan was a guaranteed winner with $18,400, while Chris had $4,800, and Vic had $4,200. The Final Jeopardy clue read, “He created a chest drain valve that aided breathing in wounded soldiers in Vietnam but is better known for a lifesaving measure”. All contestants answered correctly with “Heimlich”, and Bryan became the new champion, adding $1,730 to his winnings for a total of $20,130. Bryan appeared stunned as his one-day total was revealed, and although fans expressed their fondness for Chris, they also appreciated Bryan's performance and entertaining story.
