Craig Melvin’s ‘rolls his eyes’ at Savannah Guthrie
During the food segment on ‘Today’ show, chef and food author Alison Roman starred in the episode to show Guthrie how to make the perfect summer shortcake. After combining the ingredients in a bowl, she transferred the dough onto a cutting board and proceeded to knead it using her hands. She said, “You don’t want to over-knead” to which Guthrie jokingly replied, “Don’t be kneady!” Roman playfully retorted, "That's my joke," as Guthrie glanced towards her co-hosts seated at a nearby table. The camera then moved toward co-hosts Melvin, Roker, Hoda Kotb, and Carson Daly enjoying plates of food in front of them. Guthrie then noted, “Craig is rolling his eyes at me, and I don’t blame you.” Roker, sporting a fedora and blue suit at the end of the table, came to Guthrie’s defense, exclaiming, "You own it!" Guthrie thanked Roker as she continued with the segment.
