LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Adam Sandler is remembering the ‘sweet’ Bob Barker after he died on Saturday, August 26. The actor, who worked with the hit show ‘The Price is Right’ host, paid tribute to him.
“The man. The myth. The best,” the '50 First Dates' actor, began in his post. “Such a sweet funny guy to hang out with.”
He continued, “Loved talking to him. Loved laughing with him. Loved him kicking the crap out of me.”

The ‘Grown Ups’ actor shared that the character was originally written for host Ed McMahon.
Sandler told Collider, “Bob was like, ‘Yeah, if I get to fight, if I get to throw punches, I'm doing it.’” He added, “That was a good, good time for all of us.
The 56-year-old thanked the TV personality. “He will be missed by everyone I know! Heartbreaking day. Love to Bob always and his family! Thanks for all you gave us!”
How did Bob Barker die?
Bob Barker’s death was confirmed by his longtime girlfriend, Nancy Burnet, and the news was shared by his publicist, Roger Neal.
“I am so proud of the trailblazing work Barker, and I did together to expose the cruelty to animals in the entertainment industry and including working to improve the plight of abused and exploited animals in the United States and internationally," Burnet said in a statement.
"We were great friends over these 40 yrs. He will be missed," reports People.

Drew Carey filled the giant shoes after Barker spent nearly 35 years on the daytime show.
The star said to Barker back then, "I knew I could never be Bob, and I wasn’t going to try to be Bob.”
"We went out to lunch, and his advice was 'Don’t try to copy me. Just make it your own show'," he added.
SAG-AFTRA also tweeted on Barker’s passing away. “Legend. Icon. With a career that spanned over 60 years on television and radio, Bob Barker was one of the world's most recognizable game show hosts, entertaining generations.”
