LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Timothee Chalamet, 27, is being slammed online after footage of him smoking during Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour concert circulated on the Internet.
Recently, Chalamet and his rumored lady love Kylie Jenner, 26, were seen kissing at Beyonce’s birthday concert at Los Angeles’s SoFi Stadium on Monday, September 4, per TMZ.
While the incident marked the couple’s first official appearance together, it attracted even more attention because of Chalamet’s nonchalant behavior as he smoked in the closed stadium and allegedly ashing on strangers.
This did not go over well with fans, who had a total 'eww moment' when Chalamet smoked while spending time with Jenner during the concert.
Is it allowed to smoke inside the SoFi Stadium?
The posh stadium's website clearly mentions the venue is completely "drug-free and smoke-free environments.”
It further states clearly, “The use of drugs (including marijuana), other illegal substances and/or smoking (including vaporizers, e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco) is strictly prohibited.”
Timothee Chalamet on addiction
While fans did not like Chalamet’s smoking a cigarette at Beyonce’s concert, Chalamet is not a stranger to addiction.
While preparing and shooting for his film ‘Beautiful Boy,’ Chalamet who played the role of the meth addict teenager Nicholas Sheff, came to know about the dark side of addictions.
In an interview with W Magazine, Chalamet said, “Addiction doesn’t have a face, it has no preferred class, or gender, or race.”
He continued, “I think it’s almost easier or something to be like, ‘Oh, well, that doesn’t affect me or my family or my friends. That’s another thing. When the reality is, it’s every where.”
Citing that it was one of his favorite things about the movie, he said, “I think it’s sometimes uncomfortable for audiences where they go, ‘Why?’ And that’s not the point. It just is.”

Nevertheless, there were a few fans who defended Chalamet's action citing his French ancestry.
A fan supported him, "It’s so funny to see ppl criticize timothee chalamet for smoking a cigarette at a concert when my reaction was just “lmao he’s so French.”"
"The French in him jumped out, they can't live without their cig," a user said.
