The Freedom Singers, united by the experience of homelessness, took the opportunity to make a statement. Their rendition of the RHCP classic transcended the boundaries of time and was a real spine-tingling moment with impeccably harmonious melodies and impressive solos. Accompanied only by the piano and the rhythmic applause and finger snaps of the captivated audience, this mesmerizing cover forced the seasoned judges to stand up in unison.
