NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: After former President Donald Trump was indicted for the fourth time on August 14, 'Morning Joe' presenter Joe Scarborough turned to Twitter in a quick message to analyze what this meant for Trump.
Scarborough shared a New York Post story headlined, 'Out of all indictments, Georgia is the most perilous threat to Trump' by Andrew C McCarthy, as well as his thoughts on the same.
Instead of reacting to the criticism for his post, Scarborough doubled down on trolls and shared another piece from The New York Times titled 'The Prosecution of Trump May Have Terrible Consequences.'
Joe Scarborough tweets about the ‘greatest threats’ to Donald Trump
As the ‘Morning Joe’ host shared the New York Post article by McCarthy, he wrote, “A look at the strengths of the prosecutors’ cases against Trump by Andrew McCarthy, and why the docs case and possible Georgia charges pose the greatest threats to the former president.”
Scarborough also responded to his own tweet, with another article about Trump’s indictments, and wrote, “A good companion piece to Jack Goldsmith’s chilling @nytopinion piece.” Beyond that, Scarborough hasn’t responded to anyone else on Twitter so far.
Internet slams Joe Scarborough and his wife Mika Brzezinski
Some people refused to read the article shared by Scarborough as they wrote, “Andrew McCarthy from FOX? I’ll pass.” And others propped up questions for the ‘Morning Joe’ host, “What about your weaknesses?”
Along with Scarborough, his wife and co-host, Mika Brzezinski also took a dig at Trump as one person tweeted a meme with a picture of the couple that read, “We’ve decided to hook up in order to save 2 other people from a life of misery.”
People have also labeled Scarborough, “Joe the clown” in a tweet. Some users also have asked Scarborough when will he cover any news on Joe Biden, “When are you going to do some journalism on the sitting president, Joe Biden being a compromised foreign agent and obviously a national security risk??”
To that, a user responded, “Joe And Mika don't think Joe and Hunter did anything wrong. How do they go through life telling lies every day?”
