CLEVELAND, OHIO: Two years after his exhibition bout with Floyd Mayweather, Logan Paul provided an honest evaluation of the match by admitting he did not win.
At the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, in June 2021, YouTube fighter Paul squared up against former five-weight world champion Mayweather.
Paul only managed to hit 28 of the 200 punches he threw during the unscored bout, but he still performed better than Mayweather had anticipated.
Logan Paul opens up about his fight
Prior to their next rivalry showdown on the Misfits Boxing 'Prime Card' in Manchester later this month, Bellator MMA star Dillon Danis recently questioned Paul about how the fight went.
Paul said, "No, I don't think I beat Floyd," acknowledging that he had not won. Danis reacted by remarking that considering the outcome of Mayweather's most recent exhibition fights, Paul's performance was less remarkable.
"You can't even brag about it now, he's lasted like 12 rounds with everybody. He went eight rounds with Aaron Chalmers from Geordie Shore and didn't even get hit. Deji gave him a black eye and you didn't even hit him. You hit a 150lb guy and didn't even rock him," Danis said.
Dillon Danis vs Logan Paul
Danis is making his boxing debut versus Logan Paul along with his long-overdue comeback to combat sports.
The multiple-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion has been sidelined by frequent knee problems, but he hopes to compete in Bellator again after beating Paul.
The adversaries have even agreed to meet again in MMA after their boxing encounter.
“Dillon, check this out. You're obviously a s***bag, you're obviously a piece of s***, but I'll tell you what. If you show up to this fight October 14, I will rematch you in MMA." The pair immediately shook hands, before Paul continued to attack his rival by calling him a "scumbag, piece of s*** dirty f***ing a******,” Paul said during their face-to-face interview.
