LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are slowly getting back to doing what they are best known for: acting after the bitter and controversial defamation trial. While all the furore over the trial has somewhat died down, the two continue to hog headlines for a number of reasons. The most recent being the fact that while Depp's recent movie, 'Jeanne du Barry', was critically acclaimed, Heard's latest, 'In the Fire', is getting review bombed by his fans.
Heard was seen attending the premiere of her movie at the Taormina Film Festival in Taormina, Italy, recently. She was accompanied by Conor Allyn, the director, and co-star, Luca Calvani, per the Animated Times.
Johnny Depp's 'Jeanne Du Barry' gets a standing ovation
Depp plays Louis XV in 'Jeanne Du Barry'. The movie received a seven-minute standing ovation when it was screened at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. On the other hand, Heard's movie struggles with the lack of attention while it has received a score of 3.2. Depp's fans were left fuming on hearing the news of Heard's movie and some of them even criticized the actress on Twitter.
Amber Heard moves to Spain
Heard and her daughter Oonagh Paige left for Spain after the trial ended with her ex-husband winning the case. After the trial, the actress decided to lay low, away from the limelight.
'In the Fire' is a horror thriller set in the 1890s. Heard portrays New York psychiatrist Grace Victoria Burnham, who travels to a remote plantation to cure a disturbed autistic child. Victoria must safeguard the child from the villagers and the village priest, who think the youngster is under the control of a demon, in addition to trying her best to heal the child's ailment.
