AUSTIN, TEXAS: The UFC analyst and podcast host, Joe Rogan, has long advocated for regular exercise and consuming a healthy diet. On the recent episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience', he revealed the type of weight training he does in order to keep his body ripped at 55.
Rogan has a strong martial arts background, which has contributed to his physical fitness. However, despite not actively training for MMA, he has maintained his physical health.
'Makes a giant difference'
Gabriel Iglesias, best known for his stand-up acts and funny film roles, appeared alongside the 55-year-old on the episode of 'JRE'. They discussed how much energy they need to perform on stage after Rogan revealed his unique training regimen.
In addition, the podcast host mentioned that he exercises while wearing a weighted vest. “I do workouts with a 25-pound vest on and just the 25-pound vest on,” Rogan stated.
Furthermore, Rogan noted that the vest he wears has a huge impact on his training. When he puts on the 25-pound vest, the difficulty increases. “That 25-pound vest makes a giant difference. You do everything with that vest on and everything’s way harder,” the 55-year-old explained. He went on to say, “Farmer’s carry, chin-ups, push-ups, dips, body weights, squats, everything’s harder.”
'If you did get healthy, it would help you maintain that'
According to Rogan, people can only sustain their work productivity if they maintain their health. He said, “The thing is, if you did get healthy and you did get in shape, it would really [and] genuinely help you maintain that.” Rogan stated that his fitness objectives have served him well and that he plans to keep them that way. Previously, he said that he does not take his health or the fact that he is in better shape than most people for granted. He maintains a consistent attitude toward his physique and urges others to do the same.
