CLEVELAND, OHIO: Jake Paul has not just promised to beat Nate Diaz, but has also claimed that he offered him $10M to face him in the Pro Fighter League (PFL). The highly-anticipated fight between Paul and Diaz will take place on August 5 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Paul and Diaz seem to have a lot at stake due to the fight and it was likely that UFC president Dana White will make sure Diaz finally ends Paul's rule.
'I made that offer to him from the start'
Paul took to Twitter and said, "For all the clowns saying “why don’t you fight Nate Diaz in the cage.” I made that offer to him from the start. $10M to fight me in PFL after we box on August 5th. Offer is still there Nathan. #PaulDiaz."
Paul added, "I know how well Nate works to his stamina," referring to Nate as "old and exhausted" for the world of influencer boxing.
'You paid him to lose?'
The news of Paul offering $10M to Diaz attracted a number of responses on Twitter. One wrote, "You paid him to lose? Why don't you just fight real boxers ? Or is it because you lose like you did you tommy?" Another added, "Got to give it to him, he knows how to sell a fight." A third asked, "Why do you have to box first? Why fight an old guy in the first place?"
Paul has already defeated MMA competitors such as Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva in boxing matches. He has been slammed for selecting men with MMA backgrounds and then defeating them in boxing.
