‘GMA’ had Seacrest on for a brief chat about his ongoing career and to discuss his future projects including the ‘Wheel of Fortune’ hosting gig which the TV star will begin next year after Pat Sajak steps down.
During the chat, Stephanopoulos who was listening intently to Seacrest speak stopped him and asked him, “What’s it like sleeping in?”
Everyone in the studio laughed at this interjection including Seacrest who shot back at Stephanopoulos. “Oh George, don’t you wish you knew?”
Seacrest continued, “The alarm? I don’t even know what that means anymore.”
He spoke about how difficult it was for him to get out of his bed for his segment on the morning show.
“This was difficult today. You really put me through, I had to wake up at 5 o’clock this morning."
Stephanopoulos budged in and teased Seacrest by calling him “poor baby” for having to get up early in the morning.
Seacrest then bent over and placed his hand on Stephanopoulos’ arms and said, “Someday”, signaling that the ‘GMA’ star might have an opportunity to “sleep in” as he does.
