CINCINNATI, OHIO: YouTuber IShowSpeed has met Cristiano Ronaldo after years of waiting and persistent tries. Thanks to connections with some of the great footballer's family members, the content creator's ambition came true after graduating from high school.
Fans of Speed were equally moved, and it was a sweet moment that was well-liked online. Together, they shot pictures, and the ideal moment was streamed.
‘Oh my god, Ronaldo!’
When Ronaldo stepped out of his car, IShowSpeed was visibly ecstatic and immediately went on his knees and said, “Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, I’m sorry! Oh my god, Ronaldo!”
It goes without saying that the YouTuber worships the Portuguese player, with the latter's love has been a major theme in his material for years.
During their interaction, Speed also displayed his tattoo of Cristiano Ronaldo. The streamer's chat erupted with "Ws" and other expressions of support during their exchange.
‘My son told me that you would be here’
Ronaldo stated that his son had hinted about the YouTuber's presence shortly after they exchanged hello and said, “My son told me that you would be here.” As soon as Speed recovered his calm, the two candidly spoke and clicked pictures together.
Meeting his hero was an incredibly moving experience for the content producer. Naturally, social media also erupted with adoration and support for this occasion. A fan said, “I’m so happy for him and I don’t even watch his content." Whereas another one commented, “One of the greatest moments in YouTube history. Congrats Speed!” Another fan stated, “Really happy for Speed. He finally meets his idol. Those are photographs he would want to go with to the grave.”
IShowSpeed's mission to meet Cristiano Ronaldo
Last year, IShowSpeed went out on a mission to see his hero. On October 24, 2022, Jessie Lingard of Manchester United stated that Cristiano Ronaldo was aware of him. On November 10, 2022, Speed finally made the trip to Old Trafford to see Manchester United take on Aston Villa. But his attempts were futile since he was unable to approach the football player. By including a Ronaldo impersonator on his broadcast, he raised the stakes. Things changed, though, and the Ohio native found himself in trouble after it seemed that he had supported a cryptocurrency project with the latter that was widely regarded as "shady".
