LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pete Davidson is in treatment after battling PTSD and borderline personality disorder. According to reports, the 'Saturday Night Live' star is receiving treatment at the same Pennsylvania facility where his close buddy John Mulaney received treatment for alcohol and drug abuse.
Ahead of checking into rehab, Pete revealed that he had purchased a family-friendly minivan, but why? Pete disclosed to Seth Meyers on the June 28 episode of 'Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers' about his new ride. Even though Pete doesn't have children, he has plenty of other reasons for wanting a family-friendly car.
Meyers questioned Pete about his minivan and said, "But you don't even have a family, Pete, right?" Even though Pete doesn't have children, he explained why he wanted to get a family-friendly car after they both laughed at the unintentional dig.
'I don't have my own yet, but I do have a lot of friends'
"No yeah, I don't have a family," the 29-year-old shared. "I don't have my own yet, but I do have a lot of friends, and it's hard to fit them in a cool, flashy, whatever. So, I got like a minivan, and I've been really loving it," as per reports.
Pete claimed he only purchased the van because he needed a car and was like, "I want a minivan. They're the best." Pete proceeded by describing how "fun" it was to have both doors slide open and why "they are the best cars", and specifically how they permit him to dissimulate a star.
The 'Saturday Night Live' alum said, "No one gives a f--k about you if you're in a minivan. Like, you don't have to tint your windows or do anything to it. No one is looking at you." He added, "I've been able to drive everywhere, and no one cares. The only people who care? Other minivan drivers. And they look at you with this like, that Derek Jeter nod, where everyone's like, 'Yeah, I'm in this with you.'"
'I want to have a kid; that's like my dream'
Furthermore, Pete has already revealed how thrilled he will be to have children in the future. Pete is presently dating actress Chase Sui Wonders. He said, "My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid; that's like my dream," as reported by Eonline.
Pete said he's excited about his upcoming "chapter" as a father, adding, "That's kind of what I'm just preparing for now, is trying to be as good as a dude and develop and get better, so when that happens, it's just easier."
