‘The FDA must investigate PRIME for its absurd caffeine’
During the press conference in New York city, Schumer accused PRIME energy drink of containing high caffeine. He said, “Buyer and parents beware because it’s a serious health concern for the kids it so feverishly targets, This is an eye popping level of caffeine for a young kid's body,"
It is worth noting that the PRIME energy drink is not recommended for children under the age of 18, women who are pregnant or nursing or individuals, who are sensitive to caffeine. Also, PRIME sells a non-caffeinated hydration drink in a similar packaging. Schumer said, "Because the product is billed as a hydration and sports drink in its other, near identical form, kids are likely to ingest cans of this stuff with the parents being unaware," And he also added, “One of the summer’s hottest status symbols for kids is not an outfit, or a toy — it’s a beverage, But buyers and parents beware because it’s a serious health concern for the kids it so feverishly targets.”
Schumer also took to twitter and shared, “PRIME Energy Drink has so much caffeine that it could endanger kids’ health. But it's being marketed to kids! Parents and pediatricians are worried. The FDA must investigate PRIME for its absurd caffeine content and its marketing targeting kids on social media.” Ultil
