LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kourtney Kardashian has been discussing the potential expansion of her brand to include a new reality show centered around her and her partner, Travis Barker, as well as their pregnancy journey. The details of the show and its format are still being discussed and have not been confirmed publicly.
Kourtney's surprise pregnancy announcement at Travis' Blink-182 concert indicated her readiness to step away from the Kardashian empire and focus on building her own personal brand, according to Radar Online. Insiders revealed that the 44-year-old reality star made the decision to hold up a sign reading "Travis I'm Pregnant" without seeking approval or consulting her family, who are known for their image consciousness. The announcement took place during the concert in Los Angeles on June 16, in front of a crowd of thousands of fans.
Is Kourtney Kardashian leaving 'The Kardashians'?
"It was very un-Kardashian for Kourtney to do that, but she's sick of them interfering with her life and wants to cut ties now," spilled an insider. "Kourtney has learned everything she possibly can from her mom, Kris Jenner, and from being on the show. She doesn't feel she needs them anymore and wants to develop her very own empire!"
According to an insider, the eldest Kardashian sister has been engaged in discreet discussions about expanding her personal brand. She wants to include "a new reality show that would revolve around her and Travis and the pregnancy!" Kourtney previously starred in her own reality show called 'Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons'. Kourtney is a mother of three children from her previous relationship with Scott Disick, while Travis has two children from his former marriage to Shanna Moakler.
'She doesn't feel the need to play ball with her sisters anymore'
Kourtney has reportedly been involved in ongoing conflicts with her sisters Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian due to her fluctuating dedication to the family brand. Since her romantic involvement with Travis, 47, began in early 2021, Kourtney has allegedly become more distant from her siblings. The couple tied the knot in the spring of 2022.
"This bad blood between Kourtney and her sisters has been festering for years and it's taken all her willpower and then some to turn the other cheek," confided the source. "The difference between Kourt today and how she was back in the pre-Travis era is that she's way more empowered. The petty pranks and endless BS are beneath her and she doesn't feel this need to play ball with her sisters anymore."
"She's just over the whole bitchiness and this warped need her sisters have to one-up each other — whether it's money, romance, dieting, or hanging out with the cool club. She loves them dearly but feels strongly this is something she's totally outgrown," revealed an insider. "It's time for a break, and Travis is backing her every step of the way!"
