LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The fairytale facade of Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's marriage crumbled, leaving a trail of heartbreak and disillusionment.
Sam, 29, entered their ill-fated union with the hope of rescuing the popstar from her inner demons, only to realize, after a mere 13 months of marriage the daunting task of "saving Britney" might be insurmountable.

An insider, intimately familiar with the couple's tumultuous last days, unveiled to Daily Mail the stark reality that lay behind the glittering public image.
"The reality of life with Britney was that it was not fun, and it's not a surprise at all that the marriage didn't last," the source revealed. "She is a damaged person... Sam's a nice guy, and I hear that he tried."
"The sensible people in her life will be sad that the marriage is over. The feeling was that he thought he could save her, but maybe there is no saving Britney," the source added.
Did Sam Asghari's attempt to help Britney Spears gradually turn into a struggle?
Asghari's struggle to help Spears' gradually transformed into a desperate struggle as they found themselves confined in their Los Angeles mansion.
"They barely went out," the source divulged. "They were just stuck in that house making videos all the time... I think it's obvious that there are some serious issues in play."
Soon after the news of the divorce Spears said had consoled herself and bought a stripper pole and filmed a clip of herself spinning around. She also considered buying herself a horse
"It's not classic broken-hearted behaviour," the insider noted, echoing a growing worry about Spears' well-being. "Britney's behaviour since her conservatorship was lifted in 2021 has been eccentric to a degree that is genuinely concerning."
Does the divorce also have an impact on Spears' upcoming memoir?
The divorce also casts a shadow over her forthcoming memoir due on October 24, 'The Woman in Me' as according to the publication "it features a loving dedication on the title page to Ashgari."
Publishers say it "illuminates the enduring power of music and love — and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms." The book the publication noted will now serve as an embarrassing reminder of another romance which has not worked out.
Its publisher the outlet noted Star will be in no mood for global publicity after having signed a reported $15 million deal.
Her father Jamie's control over her ended in November 2021, and by then Sam and Spears were newlywed. It was reported that Asghari was helping her to try and reconnect with sons Sean and Jayden.
Was the trouble already on the horizon from the start?
Even at the wedding in Thousand Oaks in June 2022, sources revealed, "Madonna met him at the wedding and thought he was a good guy, she liked him.
"They had a 20-minute chat at the wedding about how to deal with her and how to understand Britney and where she was coming from. He seemed like a sensitive person."
However, there has been trouble as two months after the wedding Sam revealed to Daily Mail that her children were estranged due to her social media posts.
"The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. It's been a few months since they've seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding."
"It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children … As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone. I gave them everything. Only one word: HURTFUL," she reacted in an Instagram story.
Earlier this year reports circulated there relationship was in deep trouble which the pair denied. In June Spears and Ashgari were seen holidaying together in Mexico. "There was a lot of up and down and a lot of drama," the source said.
