NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Megyn Kelly has come out swinging with an attempt to ‘cancel’ Russell Brand after sexual misconduct allegations were brought against him by four women.
The 52-year-old utilized the platform of her podcast to let her viewers know that they “don’t need Russell Brand”, especially after what he has been accused of by different women.
Despite her best efforts to turn the narrative against the actor, Kelly’s fans saw through her problematic and biased statements, calling her “despicable” for her remarks.

Kelly didn't like any of the pieces defending Brand for his abhorrent behavior, especially when a woman presented medical records after visiting a Rape Crisis Centre.
She was furious at Brand and tried to undermine all that he had done until now by saying that society doesn’t need men like him, especially when there are good and honorable men out there.
“We don’t need him. Why would anyone expend capital defending this guy?”
Kelly added, “We have absolutely, brilliant, honorable, thinking, polite, respectful men everywhere this side of the aisle and frankly there are others on the other side of the aisle too.”
“There’s no need to make sure he doesn’t get diminished in the face of these incredible weighty charges,” she said.
The former Fox News host was quick to address the far-reaching consequences of the Me Too movement for men who were wrongly accused but pivoted to the point that Brand’s case is exclusively detailed with different women coming forward with harrowing accounts.
Kelly said, “I have two sons. I’m married to a good man, I don’t want to see anything like this happen to them but the amount of evidence against Brand is truly flabbergasting.”
“Most women do not go to the Rape Crisis Centre, most women cannot produce contemporaneous medical records and therapy notes.”
Kelly stated that many have decided that the evidence against Brand is insufficient and appealed to the “decency” of the viewers to believe in the evidence against the actor.
However, many fans didn’t like Kelly’s approach and stance on the matter and decided to retaliate and spoil her attempts to ‘cancel’ Brand.
Fans react to Megyn Kelly’s attempt to ‘cancel’ Russell Brand
One fan clearly mentioned, “Right, we shouldn’t defend him, but we shouldn’t attack/cancel him either. You’re wrong on this one Megyn.”
A second said, “We don't need you either, should we abandon you when they go after you.”
A third added, “Everyone deserves their day in court. And WHY NOW?? Cancel culture is why he needs to be defended.”
Another said, “@megynkelly Be VERY careful. This could happen to you as well. Just because you’re a woman doesn’t mean you’re exempt from cancel culture and false allegations.”
A fifth stated, “Has he been charged with anything? Found guilty? Until he is. There is no right for any of this cancelation to be happening.”
