LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The world of TikTok was stunned when Landon Barker, the son of legendary Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, made a bold and daring move to express his love for his girlfriend Charli D’Amelio. The couple, who have become relationship goals for many of their adoring followers, have been together since the summer of 2022, after Charli's breakup with her ex-boyfriend Chase Hudson. These two young stars have captured the hearts of thousands, but it was Landon's recent tattoo that left everyone speechless.
In a surprising twist, it turns out that Landon's decision to get a tattoo of Charli's eye was the result of a playful game of rock, paper, and scissors. Charli revealed in an interview with People magazine that she had dared Landon to play the classic game to determine whether he should go through with it.
'My parents thought it was cool'
The 19-year-old musician displayed a highly detailed and hyperrealistic eye in the middle of his bicep, complete with eyelashes, an eyebrow, and sun-glistening specs. However, unless you saw the reference photo that was displayed behind him in the Instagram story, you would not have any idea that the eye belonged to his lover.
Charli revealed to People magazine that she had challenged Landon to play rock, paper, scissors to decide whether he should get the tattoo. “He was like, “Really? I’ll do it,” and I was like, ‘Rock, paper, scissors,’ and I won,” she told the magazine. “So [Dixie D’Amelio] drives me to his dad’s studio where he’s getting the tattoo and we walk in and he’s actually getting it. My only thought was, ‘You have to tell my dad that you just got this.’ But my parents thought it was cool and so did his.”
She went on to say it’s “crazy” how realistic it looks, but that she found the gesture “so cool.” Fans have taken a second look at their relationship because of more than just this; In fact, in May, Landon frightened the entire internet by filming a TikTok video about his girlfriend's feet.
'Tattoo time'
The tattoo artist positioned D'Amelio's face in a black-and-white and color photograph side by side, zooming in on her eye and its surroundings to make it abundantly clear that the eye was focused on the woman who had caught his attention. Barker posted an Instagram story showing off the new tattoo with the caption, "Tattoo time." D'Amelio reshared it with the caption "holy s**t."
This comes nearly a month after Barker posted a lovely message for D'Amelio to wish her a happy birthday on her 19th birthday. The caption said, "Happy birthday to the most beautiful girl in the world @charlidamelio," began Barker's caption. "I don't even know where to start; since the first day we ever started talking, you have changed my life!"
"[You're] such a kind, strong, loving person, and that has brought me and so many others so much happiness and love," Barker wrote. "I love you so much and hope you have the best day ever. You deserve it so much," he concluded.
