LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Vanna White has stunned everyone by sharing a major throwback photo as a contestant on ‘Price is Right’ in 1980, just a few years before she started as co-host of ‘Wheel of Fortune’.
The 66-year-old reminisced about the time she met the legendary host Bob Barker, who recently died at 99 of natural causes at his house in Hollywood Hills.
Vanna looked unrecognizable in the snap and appeared excited to be on the sets of ‘Price is Right.’
Her post was a simple homage to Bob Barker who, as per his publicist Roger Neal, was “the World’s Greatest MC who ever lived.”

The ‘Wheel of Fortune’ star shared a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, remembering her time on the game show.
Vanna shared a photo of herself from an episode that was filmed 43 years ago and aired on June 20, 1980. She was 23 years old when the episode aired, and she looks completely unrecognizable in the throwback photo with her beaming smile and long hair flowing down to her waist.
Alongside the photo, Vanna wrote, “When I moved to LA in 1980, I was on Price Is Right and met Bob Barker. Thank you Bob for introducing me to the game show world! We will miss you.”
When Vanna appeared on ‘The Price is Right’, she ran down to the stage with much excitement.
As Bob entered the stage, he said: “Backstage, they have monitors where the fellas on the crew can watch and see what's going on out here.”
He continued: "When Vanna was invited to come on down, one of them read her t-shirt where it said 'Get Serious,' and he said, 'I am!’" Bob smiled at Vanna and said: "I thought you'd like to know that."
Vanna didn't win anything in the episode, but Bob playfully roasted her for asking for the bids again, saying, “You're so busy looking at yourself in the monitor, you don't know what's going on.”
Is Vanna White returning to ‘Wheel of Fortune’?
The 66-year-old game show host has been fighting diligently with the network for a pay raise for years.
The TV personality is yet to renew her contract for the new season which will be headlined by Ryan Seacrest.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the negotiations are ongoing between Vanna and the network but there are “few hiccups to resolve” before a decision can be made.
The source close to Daily Mail reported that Vanna is "OK" with negotiating a final contract, she just wants a "tremendous payday" that the show "isn't ready to consider,” and so, they are at a stalemate.
New episodes of the game show are reportedly set to begin filming in early September and again towards the end of September.
