TONTITOWN, ARKANSAS: Jim Bob Duggar stated he has secret grandchildren as he gets ready to have his newest grandchild, in a recent video posted by his daughter, Joy-Anna Forsyth. According to reports, the family patriarch and his 56-year-old wife, Michelle Duggar, are the grandparents of 15 boys and 15 girls. Jim Bob, 57, left fans questioning whether other births weren't officially declared, after he remarked while greeting his newest grandchild, Gunner, earlier this month.
Joy-Anna, 25, and her husband Austin Forsyth welcomed their third child, Gunner, on Friday, May 19. The father of 19 children visited Joy-Anna in the delivery room after she gave birth to his newest grandchild, Gunner, as seen by viewers of her YouTube video.

'What is this one? The 30th?'
"What is this one? The 30th?" Austin questioned his father-in-law as he held the infant in his arms. He responded, "Yeah, this is the 15th boy," adding that he also has 15 granddaughters. "And then, Jed and Katey's will be the tie-breaker," Jim Bob added, mentioning his son Jed, 24, who revealed in December that he and his wife were expecting a baby girl.
'There is one more unaccounted boy'
Some fans wondered about Jim Bob's calculations and hypothesized that there might be one more grandchild that had not yet been revealed. A person sparked a conversation on a well-known Duggar community, by posting, "In Joy’s birth blog, JB clearly states that Gunner is the 30th grandchild, and Nora (Jed + Katey’s second child) will be the 31st. He also said that he has 15 granddaughters and 15 grandsons. "After factoring in Daisy (Josiah + Lauren’s second daughter) + a 2nd boy for Joe & Kendra, there is one more unaccounted boy. I’m guessing he has to be Josiah & Lauren’s too, but who knows. Any other theories?" as reported by The US Sun.
A secret child
All of Jim Bob and Michelle's older children and their spouses have been tallied by the users: Josh and Anna; Joseph and Kendra; Jill and Derick; Jinger and Jeremy; Joy-Anna and Austin; Jessa and Ben; Jed and Katey; Josiah and Lauren; John David and Abbey; and Jeremiah and Hannah. They all had at least one child, albeit the present total is 15 girls and 15 boys. The first poster claimed that Jim Bob was involved with Joe and Kendra's rumored fourth child and that Josiah and Lauren had a secret second child. However, there would still be one newborn boy remaining.
Josiah and Lauren's?
Fans rushed to the comments to speculate on the identity of the 15th boy, with some speculating that Joe and Kendra had twins. Some speculated it might belong to Josiah and Lauren, writing, "I think Josiah and Lauren, they absolutely disappeared from all SM. It would not surprise me at all if they specifically told their family they could NOT mention their child." One said, "Another post on here, has it being theorized as Josiah and Lauren’s. They said there was a baby registry linked a while back that was allegedly theirs with boy stuff on it."
'They can't actually count'
Others, though, weren't certain there was a second child and thought Jim Bob's counting abilities had made a mistake. One person stated, "I think there’s a good chance Jim Bob and Michelle can’t keep track of how many grandkids they have." Additionally, there were many comments on the video expressing love for the newborn. A fan wrote, "Congrats to Joy-Anna and Austin on adding a baby boy to your family .. Gideon and Evelyn are going to great big brother and sister," while another wrote, "Gunner is an adorable baby, and he looks just like his Ma Ma! 'Are they going to call him Gun for short?'
Though they adore their newest child, some fans left comments related to the new grandchild's name under The Duggar Family Fan Blog's announcement of Gunner's birth. One person wrote, "What an awful name! Shaking my head..." "Are they going to call him Gun for short? At the park, at Wal-Mart, or in a crowd of people somewhere, will they be calling out Gun or Gunner? That will cause some heads to turn...," noted another. One fan came in support of the family and wrote, "Gunner does not mean gun." Have you opened a dictionary lately?" While another explained the meaning of the name saying, "It means Warrior, it doesn't mean Gun."
