LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Carrie Underwood got her friend Axl Rose to help her while she was selecting songs to open for the rock band ‘Guns N Roses’.
‘If I Didn’t Love You’ crooner was struggling to pick the cover songs for her stadium performance at the band's concert in August.
That was when the 61-year-old Axl suggested sure-fire crowd pleasers like Led Zeppelin's ‘Rock and Roll,’ Joan Jett's ‘Bad Reputation,’ and Motörhead's ‘Ace of Spades,’ according to a source.
Which cover songs did Carrie Underwood pick for her set at 'Guns N Roses' concert?
The country singer made stage appearances with the band during their Moncton show on August 5. Underwood also sang a few classics, such as ‘Paradise City’ and ‘Sweet Child O' Mine.’
"Los Angeles, I want to hear you make some noise for Axl Rose,” she addressed the crowd during the event. Underwood couldn’t hide her excitement and later posted on her Instagram account, "luckiest girl in the world.”
While sharing multiple snaps from the concert, she further wrote, "Thanks, Axl, for showing up, once again, to make the great times even better! It'll forever feel like it was all a dream, but these dreams are my favorite ones!"
Underwood has had the opportunity to perform with the band before — during the 2022 Stagecoach Festival. "Best. Night. Of. My. Life!!! I am still freaking out," Underwood wrote on Instagram back then.
"Thank you, Axl, for making this lifelong dream come true!!!You rocked that @stagecoach stage harder than anyone has ever rocked it before!"
What tattoo does Carrie Underwood share with her mother Carole and her sisters?
Underwood a few weeks ago posted snaps from her Vegas outing with her family. The 40-year-old even got matching tattoos with her mother and sister.
She captioned while sharing the photograph, “When your 74-year-old mother asks you and your sisters to get matching tattoos with her in Vegas, the only questions are, “what?” and “where?” I never would’ve thought I’d see the day that Mama Carole would be gettin’ some ink! 😂❤️ #WhatHappensInVegas”
During her podcast show, her mother participated in one of the episodes.
The singer even joked, "I get final approval on what she talks about, just in case!" She explained, "Because she will tell some stories about me growing up that maybe I don't want out there. I get to nix it, if I need to!"
Underwood was doing a new SiriusXM radio channel show ‘Carrie’s Country' for a special segment, reports People.
"I'm always making notes or thinking of other artists or other songs that I'm like, I really want this in there," she said, talking about her process.
