LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Since its debut in 2019, CBS's 'Love Island USA' has featured intriguing men and women undertaking activities, changing partners, arguing, making out, and trying everything to stay in the game and find their perfect match. Isaiah Campbell and Sydney Paight were one such couple that was on the program in Season 4 and added to the sheer drama with their coupling and recoupling, making it all the more fascinating.
Sydney and Isaiah are the last 'Love Island USA' Season 4 couple, and there are arguments for and against why this is shocking. The pair finished second in the season, with Timmy Pandolfi and Zeta Morrison receiving first place. Third-place couples Jesse Bray and Deb Chubb announced their breakup in November 2022, which was predictable considering their journey on the program. However, Zeta and Timmy's breakup looked unexpected. The couple looked to be the most mature and likely to survive. Zeta and Timmy looked to be in love, but during a podcast appearance, Zeta disclosed that not all was as it seemed.
Isaiah and Sydney's journey on 'Love Island USA' Season 4
The experience of Isaiah and Sydney on the show was nothing short of a rollercoaster. With their incessant squabbling, sobbing, and arguments, they were undoubtedly the most dramatic pair on the show. Sydney came to the villa as the Operations Manager for a Houston-based technology business. Sydney fell in love with the attractive Isaiah, who was a year Sydney's junior, on the first day they met. Isaiah's quirky demeanor and bad-boy image impressed her.
Despite the chemistry between Sydney and Andy Voyen, Isaiah and Sydney were thrown together by fate and continued their difficult voyage on the program. The pair fought because of constant envy and drama with other cast members. Sydney was frequently seen sobbing uncontrollably during 'Love Island USA' scenes because of something Isaiah did. Isaiah upset Sydney when he approached Valerie Bragg and Mady McLanahan, and Isaiah felt unhappy when Sydney reconnected with Andy. When Isaiah left Sydney for Phoebe Siegal following Casa Amor, it looked like their romance had come to an end.
However, things between Phoebe and Isaiah did not work out, and Sydney ultimately accepted him back. They had a terrific evening after that, and he asked her to be his girlfriend. The entire Phoebe Siegal thing, on the other hand, was too much for Sydney and caused a significant gap in their relationship. Nonetheless, love always prevails, and the couple put their difficulties behind them and finished second, leaving the villa hand in hand. However, 'Love Island' has been filming for some time, and a lot may happen once the cameras stop rolling. Let's see if the couple is still together.
Are Isaiah and Sydney still together?
Fans of Isaiah and Sydney will be relieved to learn that, despite their relationship's ups and downs, they have managed to make it work and are stronger than ever. "I feel like what we have between us is just so real," Sydney remarked in an interview with Screen Rant. "Honestly, I’m obsessed with him, so I feel like it’s going to be easy. I told him inside the villa, ‘I do require some attention’, and he was like, ‘I can handle that, no problem.’ I told him literally 30 minutes ago, 'you just tell me when and where to fly, and I’ll pull up.'"
When discussing their long-distance relationship, Isaiah stated, "I don’t know if I would move to LA yet, or she would move to Miami. It would depend. We don’t really know yet, obviously. See how things go outside the villa, for sure. But, I think right now, we’re just going to remain distant for a little bit. Flying isn’t too bad." They also met each other's families, which elevated their bond to a new level. They enjoyed a wonderful time in South Dakota with Isaiah's family, particularly with his sister. The couple has made their long-distance romance work and plans to live together.
"We FaceTime all the time too," Sydney added in another interview with E! News. "He just texted me five minutes ago. We’re still together, but it’s hard with the time difference. He stays up so late, though. When I go out, he stays up until five in the morning." Sydney is still working as an Operations Manager, but she is also focused on her YouTube channel. Isaiah, on the other hand, is concentrating on his modeling career.
The fifth season of 'Love Island USA' is set to air on Peacock starting July 18.
