MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Drake wasn't too kind to a concertgoer when the fan arrived at the rapper's concert sporting the infamous Yeezy sneakers from fellow rapper Kanye West. The rapper, 36, appeared to give the concertgoer an indirect compliment after noticing the branding.
Drake took a moment to call out the fan while on stage during the 'It's All A Blur' Tour stop in Milwaukee at the Fiserv Forum on August 4. "My man, I like the fitted hat with the...I feel you, dawg," he said to the male fan. "You look good. Even though you got those Yeezy's on, you still look good."
Ye, popularly known as Kanye West, created the Yeezy shoe line as part of his collaboration with Adidas. Ye's contract with the company was terminated last year as a result of his repeated anti-semitic remarks, as per The Messenger.
Are Drake and Kanye West still feuding?
Drake is making it clear to his followers that he and West, 46, are still not getting along. It wouldn't be the first time Drake has criticized West, and this may be interpreted as a sign that their feud is still going strong.
The two rappers allegedly got into a fight in 2018 after Pusha T, a fellow rival, accused Drake of employing a ghostwriter in the song 'Infrared,' which West produced. Pusha then released 'The Story of Adidon,' where he exposes Drake for having a child with former adult film star Sophie Brussaux.
Drake later acknowledged having Adonis, now 6 years old, with Brusseaux on his album 'Scorpion.' The 'God's Plan' singer referred to West's decision to make his son public and said it felt like a huge betrayal.
However, in another interview with Chicago radio station WGCI, West continued to dispute that he told Pusha about Drake having a child.
The rappers went on to criticize one another in their music, and in 2019, Drake claimed that West was to blame for his issues with Pusha while speaking on the 'Rap Radar' show.
Drake appeared to diss rapper West once more in his sixth album, 'Certified Lover Boy,' released in September 2021. In an unreleased song titled 'Rescue Me,' Drake teased a sample of Kim Kardashian, 42, talking about her divorce from West on Sound 42's 'The Fry Yiy Show' on SiriusXM Radio in April this year.
Drake once spotted in Kanye West's Yeezys
Drake posed for a group picture while celebrating the birthday of longtime buddy and OVO staffer Mark Robinson, and it was a snap from Robinson's Instagram account that revealed what they were wearing on their feet. Drake and Robinson were seen wearing what appeared to be West's Yeezy Season 4 suede combat boots, as per Complex.
Despite the fact that this model isn't an authentic Adidas product, the fact that Drake was seen wearing sneakers created by West may be rather informative.
Yeezy sales are booming
Despite West's controversial actions last year, which included a slew of anti-semitic and anti-Black remarks, the Yeezy brand has been doing well in terms of sales.
According to research from this month, Yeezy was experiencing the same level of sales this year as it had in the corresponding months of 2022. Despite Ye's problematic image, it seems that Yeezy's popularity hasn't decreased.
