NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Ashley Dupre, the New York musician and escort who became infamous for her part as ‘Kirsten’ in the Elliot Spitzer prostitution scandal in 2008, is now a married mother.
After the scandal that led to the resignation of then New York governor Eliot Spitzer, Dupre went into a relationship with a construction magnate of New Jersey, Thomas ‘TJ’ Earle. Earle is also the father of TikTok’s 'It Girl' Alix Earle.
Per People, Dupre and Earle eventually got married in 2013. The duo went on to welcome three children together - Izabel Earle, Penelope Earle, and Thomas James Earle II, per The Family Nation.
How is TikTok sensation Alix Earle related to Ashley Dupre?
TikToker Alix Earle, who gained immense popularity on the social media platform and has more than 5.8 million followers, is a stepdaughter of Dupre.
The social media sensation and the musician-turned-call girl, who are now immensely close to each other, started off on a difficult note.
In a recent appearance on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, Alix Earle shared with host Alex Cooper the harrowing incidents that her family had to endure when her father Thomas’s affair with Dupre became a piece of public knowledge.
In the interview, Gen Z’s queen bee recalled the time when her life “flipped outside down” after it was revealed that her father was having an affair with Dupre, per Daily Mail.
Initially, she didn’t understand the hullaballoo surrounding her family as she was just in second grade.
However, it was in fourth grade when she learned the entire truth, as Earle said in the podcast, “It was in like fourth grade. I started to kind of hear commentary from people and I had an iPad at the time.”
She talked about her epiphanic moment saying, “I'm Googling my family and all of a sudden, I see that the past two years of my life had been a lie.”
Alix said, “My dad had an affair with someone who was well-known for her job having sexual relations with high-class people and one of them was even the governor of New York.”
“She was very well-known from that and in turn, my dad's affair became a very public situation,” the 22-year-old social media influencer said of Dupre.
Alix went on to continue talking about the initial days when Dupre started spending time with their family and she wanted to “rip her head off.”
She said to the host, “When my stepmom started to hang around with my dad after he had moved out, she came into his life and we were introduced to her, which was super weird.”
“And I was told that I had to be respectful to this woman and we had to be nice to her. I wanted to rip her head off,” said Alix.
She remarked, “It was very weird because I felt like I was a 10-year-old having to be more mature than someone 20, 30 years older than me.”
However, the situation has now changed to the extent that Alix’s stepmother has grown up to be one of her closest people.
In an interview with Elle in August 2023, Alix said that the duo are now “super close,” saying, “We’ve gotten to such a good point. Whatever’s happened in the past, we’ve all gotten past it as a family.”
Even Dupre’s experience with media helped her mature as a woman.
Alix shared, “One time I was overwhelmed about something of mine and I called my dad. He was like, ‘You should really talk to Ashley about this. She has dealt with this before, stuff in the media.’ It’s brought us closer because she’s able to guide me through it.”
