LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actress Lauren London paid homage to her late lover and longtime companion, Nipsey Hussle, on the occasion of his 38th birthday anniversary.
The 'You People' actress posted a touching tribute to the deceased rapper on her Instagram page, on Tuesday, August 15, accompanied by a picture of him wearing a white tracksuit.
What did Lauren London say about Nipsey Hussle?
"Honoring the day you blessed the Earth with your presence. Forever more," London wrote in the caption, before adding, "I love you," followed by checkered flag emojis and a blue heart.
The picture shows Hussle (real name: Ermias Joseph Asghedom), wearing a number of gold chains around his neck, looking at the camera with his hands clasped in a prayer pose.
The rapper known for his song 'Grinding All My Life' was one of hip-hop's up-and-coming stars when Eric Holder Jr shot and killed him on March 31, 2019, outside his apparel store in Los Angeles.
The 38-year-old 'You People' actress often pays tribute to Hussle, including on March 31, his death anniversary. It has been four years since he was fatally shot.
"I hold my breath all of March knowing I have to face the memory of the day you transitioned," she wrote in the caption of a black-and-white photo of Hussle that she had posted on Instagram at the time.
'True testament to the power of love'

What is Lauren London doing now?
London has received praise for her work in the Netflix comedy 'You People,' but there is one person whose opinion she would have liked to hear: her late lover Nipsey Hussle.
In a January 2023 interview with the 'PEOPLE Every Day' podcast, London discussed her recent project and how, over four years after the tragic death of her boyfriend Hussle, she is "still a work in progress."
In spite of her efforts to find peace and celebrate her parenting and professional accomplishments, such as the "success of having a job and meeting people and people showing me love," London stated at the time that she still occasionally has "the feeling of there's one person you wished was here to watch the movie with you."
London told host Janine Rubenstein, "I have to wake up with the intention of this every day because there are days I don't want to, and I'm like angry about it."
"And that's what healing is. It is up and down, side to side, all over the place. You know what I mean? And with each new level, there's something else," London further added.
The couple became romantically involved in 2013 and welcomed their son, Kross Ermias Asghedom, in August 2016.
London is also a mother to 13-year-old son Kameron Carter whom she had with musician Lil Wayne.
