KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Amid the buzz of rumors of a potential romance between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end broke his silence on the ongoing speculation as he revealed he invited the singer to watch him play an NFL game.
On Thursday, September 21, Kelce spoke candidly about the rumors during an appearance on 'The Pat McAfee Show' as he said, "It's hilarious how much traction this has actually got."
"I think right now it's like that old game at school, "Telephones", where everyone is just whispering in each other's ears and hearing some random stuff," Kelce added.
Travis Kelce revealed he once gave Taylor Swift a friendship bracelet
Recalling the time when he tried to give the 'Love Story' singer his phone number through a friendship bracelet before one of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concerts but failed, he said, "I threw it there."
"I threw the ball in her court. I told her, 'I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead [Stadium], you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one is a little more lit," he continued.
"So, we’ll see what happens in the near future," he added.
Travis Kelce playfully slams his brother Jason who talked about his dating life
On Wednesday, September 20, during a separate appearance on 'Pat McAfee Show' on ESPN', Kelce talked about his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce humorously dubbing himself as the 'Ian Rapoport' of his younger brother's dating life, reports Daily Mail.
"No one actually knows what’s going on, but especially when you got Jason Kelce on live television, telling people both sides. He doesn’t know — it’s true, it’s this and that," said Travis who previously dated on-air sports journalist Kayla Nicole.
"The guy is ridiculous, he can't stay out of the fricking headlines. He was on the show yesterday saying everyone thinks he's the Ian Rapoport of my dating relationships... everyone, please stop asking my brother about my love life," the NFL star added.
During his appearance on 94 WIP in Philadelphia, Jason claimed that the rumors of Travis and Swift dating were "100 percent true" but later clarified that he was joking.
Though Travis asked the public not to ask his elder brother about his life, he stated that he did not mind getting attention as he quipped, "It's life, baby," suggesting the light-hearted nature of the rumors of him "quietly hanging out" with Swift.
