LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ co-hosts had a full-fledged discussion on Fox News possibly trying to pull away from Donal Trump ahead of the 2024 elections. While each co-host weighed in with their opinion, the spotlight was on Alyssa Farah Griffin. Griffin is a conservation and staunch supporter of the Republican Party and refuses to give up on it.
Griffin has also previously worked for Trump, and while she acknowledges his downfall, her loyalty to GOP remains intact. While Griffin’s co-hosts try and understand her perspective, including Sunny Hostin who is a far-left Democrat, the internet can’t seem to do the same and have taken to social media to express the same.
‘I refuse to give up’
While Griffin could acknowledge Trump's impact on the party, she also highlighted her loyalty, “Trump is actively destroying the Republican Party. I think those who empowered him in the media played a big role in it. I refuse to give up on it yet…and I know that drives people crazy.” Behar interrupted Griffin, “To give up on what?” Griffin was quick to answer her fellow co-host, “The Republican party.” Griffin then talked about the young voters who seem politically agnostic. She continues to stand by her point of supporting and standing by the Republican Party ahead of the 2024 Presidential race. The internet hasn’t taken too well to Griffin’s alliance and loyalty to the GOP.
‘So out of touch’
The internet has been quick to respond to Griffin’s loyalty to the Republican party, especially after ‘The View’ took to Instagram to post a clip of Griffin talking about her refusal to give up on the party. One person commented, “She’s a Rino she loved Trump in the WH until she got the boot.” Even Republicans have taken an issue with Griffin as one person wrote, “Alyssa is so out of touch with Republican millennials. I am a Republican millennial and disagree with her all the time. The view only hires lefties trying to impersonate Republicans.” One person compared Griffin to the GOP itself, “She is like them. She is them. The Republican party is Trump and all the things he stands for.”
The Internet also can’t get over the fact that Griffin has previously worked for Trump, as one person said, “Oh please!! She was in his playpen!!” and another wrote, “You forget, you were on them.” Even Griffin’s fans aren’t thrilled over this, “Love Love Alyssa, but girl what Republican party? There is no Republican Party. Your party died the day you folks decided to sell out this country by electing Trump. You don’t have a party."
