LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ co-host Ana Navarro has taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to take a dig at the Governor of Florida and Republican candidate, Ron DeSantis, following the Jacksonville shooting.
As reported by The Hill, a gunman killed three black people in a racially motivated attack and then killed himself in Jacksonville, Florida. As the Governor of Florida, DeSantis commented on the attack, labeled it “unacceptable” and extended his support to the city of Jacksonville, and the friends and family of the victims.
Navarro tweeted about DeSantis’ statement and also called him “Ron DeSaster” in the tweet. The internet hasn’t responded well to ‘The View’ co-host, and Navarro has faced severe backlash for the same.

In her tweet about Ron DeSantis, Ana Navarro wrote, “Just watched Ron DeSaster offer condolences post Jacksonville racial shootings. He said something about protecting HBCU’s.”
She continued, “Well, he could start by not attacking AP Black History Studies and not creating an environment were books by Black authors & about Black history are banned.”
This particular tweet by Navarro, which was targeted against DeSantis, received a lot of traction on X, and people have accused her of lying.

The people on the internet did not hold back when it came to expressing how they felt about Ana Navarro after this particular tweet.
She was accused of lying as one person wrote, “You’re such a liar,” and another said, “Why are you constantly twisting things.”
Navarro was also labeled a “racist” after this particular tweet against the Governor of Florida as one person wrote, “You’re a hypocrite and a racist,” and another tweeted, “Stop being a racist, Ana.”
“Anxious to bring up another issue that is unrelated to this tragedy aren’t we?” wrote one person in response to Navarro’s tweet. Navarro faced severe name-calling and scrutiny from people on the internet as another person wrote, “You know that's not true. You truly are the worst and will say anything to get clicks.”

While in Greece, Ana Navarro tweeted about the Jacksonville shooting on X, and wrote, "I am in Greece. I went to sleep with the news of a shooting at a Caribbean Festival in Boston. Now, waking up to the news of a racially motivated shooting in Jacksonville."
She concluded, "This doesn’t happen in other countries. Shamefully, it’s as American as apple pie."
