MURRIETA, CALIFORNIA: Charity Lawson is looking forward to finding her spouse among the contestants on ABC's 'The Bachelorette' 2023. Brayden Bowers left an imprint in Episode 1 both before and after getting the First Impression Rose, and he's since been one of the season's most divisive characters. However, Brayden recently turned to Instagram to discuss the public backlash he's received since starring in the series.
Brayden captivated Charity's attention from the minute they met, and they shared an intimate kiss on the first night. Unfortunately, his charm only works on Charity it seems, as the other men voiced worry, including Charity's brother, Nehemiah. Despite their reservations, Charity followed her instincts and presented him with the First Impression Rose. Brayden continued to give Charity pause in Episode 2 after the other contestants stated he was doubting her character. This came after she kissed Joey Graziadei in front of the suitors on the group date. Nonetheless, during the rose ceremony, she gave Brayden the final rose, sparing him from going home. Although Brayden's behavior has divided the house and the fans, he addressed it during an Instagram Q&A.
'Tell him sorry if I did something to him'
According to photos uploaded on Reddit, a fan asked Brayden, "How are you doing with the backlash from last week’s ep?" "I’ve been good!!!" Brayden replied. "Thank you for asking! I don’t take it to heart … some of it I agree with when I see the final cut playing back hahaha. I’m like, dang, this guy sucks … oh wait, that’s me, hahah."
"Dang, if you’re out and about, are you off the show?” another admirer said. "Gotta stay tuned," he said. "We'll see what happens this Monday."
Many Reddit users believe Brayden comes off a lot better online than he does on the program. "Unpopular opinion, but I absolutely adore him, and I just feel like he’s too much for some people to handle and maybe a little misunderstood," commented one admirer. "He might be super annoying but he doesn’t seem like a horrible person," another admirer commented. "He gets a pass."
In one of the stories a fan also asked, "Why does Nick Viall hate you so much??" owing to the heavy discussion, the host of 'The Viall Files' podcast had on his show on the controversial contestant. To which Brayden replied snarkily, "Idk who that is 😅 tell him sorry if I did something to him."
'We are all officially old'
Reacting to Brayden's reply for Nick, one viewer tweeted, "Lol I still despise him." While some felt, "LOL he is funny & you would love this." Witnessing Brayden fail to recognize Nick, one wrote, "Omg we are all officially old." A fourth user quipped, "I’m dead."
Other theories read, "Brayden has barely even watched the show [probably part of why he keeps breaking "unwritten rules"], much less know its alumni or even legends lol." While others differ, "Idc he’s my fav."
