LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Charity Lawson and Joey Graziadei set a new record this week as First Impression Rose winner Brayden Bowers threatens to walk. Fans of 'The Bachelorette' were quick to call out Brayden for questioning Charity's character.
In every season of 'The Bachelorette' or 'The Bachelor,' fans find a contestant who suddenly realizes what they signed up for. Brayden was that contestant this week. Charity's questionable choices aside, Brayden is in many ways a retro Bachelor Nation stereotype. The 24-year-old travel nurse is either too stupid to recognize his own stupidity, or he's duping us all with his cocky attitude, which will undoubtedly earn him a ticket on 'Bachelor in Paradise' and at least a year of marketing partnerships with companies that deliver raw meat to your door.
Show's longest kiss got some jealous
Season 19 of 'The Bachelorette' may already be in the rearview mirror, but Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia are back. They're helping host the next group date of Season 20, and they're looking to break a record. Three minutes and 22 seconds is the record for the longest kiss in Bachelor Nation history. Charity is tasked with breaking that record after a Q&A session with six of the guys.
Who was our fortunate winner? Joey Graziadei. He couldn't take his eyes off Charity and utilized the one minute he had to tell a story about a great kiss to manifest the record-breaking moment with her. They do an excellent job of breaking the previous record, going for a time of four minutes and 25 seconds.
While Joey spends the night with Charity, the other boys who participated return to the house. They lick their wounds and tell the men what happened, and Brayden is not pleased. "I feel like a punk just having to hear about it," he grumbles. "I'm not gonna put up with people being disrespected." In response, Brayden says he will gather his things and prepare to go home. Fans have concluded that he is not a regular viewer of this show.
The boys are tasked with firing up the grill and preparing the second rose ceremony of the season for Charity. Brayden is still angry after sleeping on it. "If I don't hear what I need to hear from her, I'm just gonna go home," he rages. When he finally gets a chance to talk to her, he doesn't realize how hurt he's. Charity finally apologizes for running the event the way it was planned, saying she's "sad" that he and the other men were unhappy.
"He was being very vulnerable and opening up...I appreciated his honesty," she added on tape. When she finally has an opportunity to talk with Adrian Hassan, he gives her a significantly different narrative. He claims that Brayden referred to Charity's conduct as "classless," which confuses her. So much so that she departs, and the lads are informed that their day has been cut short. Most of them are angry with Adrian and Brayden for generating an uproar. "It might be best for both of them to go," Joey suggests.
'Brayden saying he’s doubting Charity’s character?'
Seeing Brayden question Charity's character one fuming fan tweeted, "What the actual f**k - Brayden saying he’s doubting Charity’s CHARACTER? Because she kissed another guy? On a show where it’s based on her dating all the men!?" While one quipped, "Brayden when Charity kisses someone other than him on a show where the bachelorette dates 24 other guys." One confused fan asked, "Brayden really ready to pack his bags after a 4-minute kiss? Just days after getting the first impression rose??" A fourth user tweeted, "I had doubt in your character” mind u this is bc she kissed another guy on a show where u literally date 30 men till u find ur husband."
One fan also noted, "Joey: *kisses Charity for 4 minutes* Brayden who wasn’t even there:" Another fan recalled, "Brayden sure didn't have a problem making everyone listen to his kiss recap during the premiere." Someone described the moment as, "Listening to Brayden be upset about the longest kiss & saying he is gonna go home on his own is like watching the trash take itself out." Another person asked, "Why do people continue to come on this show and act like the Bachelorette is only going to kiss them ever?"
