LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Matty Healy is well aware of the fact that he was the Anti-Hero after his brief relationship with Taylor Swift. Two days after his relationship with Swift came to an end, the artist, 34, made an apparent on-stage apology during his band's performance in Dublin, Ireland, on Wednesday night.
Before the entire band mounted the stage and posed a query to the crowd, Matty gave a solo acoustic performance. In the midst of his bandmate Jamie Squire singing Leon Russell's 'A Song For You', he grabbed a can of black spray paint and scribbled the words "Sorry?" in large letters on a white background, as per reports.
Swift and the rocker's romance was made public in May amid rumors that they had been seeing one other for days. However, a close pal of the celebrity stated on Monday that Taylor was once more "single."
'I thought it was quite dramatic as well'
Later on in the evening, Matty attempted to shake things off with a few pints of Guinness while waving the pint in front of the crowd and joking, "It's not even normal; it's just because it's so nice, But you drink so much of it like it is some kind of milk that then you forget the songs so I came in at the wrong time then, I thought it was quite dramatic as well, I was making my way over here, and it was all eye contact and just a p****d bloke," as reported byDailyMail.
According to The Sun, Matty wobbled about the stage, much to the dismay of his bandmates George Daniel and Adam Hann. Taylor hasn't commented about the breakup, but she gave a highly emotional performance at her Chicago concert over the weekend, seeming on the verge of tears when her voice broke during a piano rendition of the heartfelt breakup ballad 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever'.
"Wondering if I dodged a bullet or just lost the love of my life?'" Swift sang while appearing to have a trembling mouth from emotion. After breaking up with her six-year relationship with actor Joe Alwyn, the 'I Always Want to Die' singer and the 'Dear Reader' hitmaker dated for a little over a month.
Joe Alwyn 'disappointed' by new breakup song
Speaking of Alwyn, The Mirror stated that the actor is "disappointed and humiliated" by the new breakup song 'You're Losing Me' that Swift released last month. The vocalist of 'Don't Blame Me' describes how she wanted to be married but that he never asked her in the song's lyrics, which describe the breakup of a romance, as per reports.
