LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ludwig, also known as Ludwig Ahgren, is a popular YouTuber who is planning to launch his next combat sports venture. It appears that the son of a former UFC champion is eager to compete, although it's unclear what Ludwig has planned for the future.
Last year, the 28-year-old organized a Mogul Chessboxing Championship event in which several video game and YouTube personalities participated. This event stood out as one of the more unusual combat sports events to emerge in recent years.
What did Ludwig say?
Ludwig appears to have already organized his next event, and the YouTuber recently put out a call online to see if there were any interested parties.
He took to Twitter on August 18 to share this news. He wrote, "HYPOTHETICALLY if I needed one more card for a certain boxing hybrid event would anyone on twitter wanna hit me up to partake."
At the time of writing, the Tweet received more than 2 million views and several comments from sports personalities.
Michael Bisping's Son Responds To Ludwig's Call
Ludwig undoubtedly expected the majority of his responses to come from YouTube or video game groups, but Callum, Michael Bisping's son, soon added his name to the mix. Callum cited both his combat sports and gaming credentials.
He wrote, "Literally the son of a UFC champion with college wrestling experience and also active in the NorCal smash scene. What more could you want, I’m ur huckleberry."
If Ludwig wants to garner attention from the combat sports world for his next event, he couldn't do much worse than to book the son of 'The Count' for a matchup.
Bisping is a regular commentator on UFC broadcasts and has recently launched a successful YouTube channel.
However, he is best known for his extensive fighting career in the UFC, which earned him a spot in the promotion's Hall of Fame due to his tremendous success in the cage and his reign as middleweight champion.
