With the growing trend of prominent streamers transitioning from Twitch to Kick, numerous aspiring YouTubers and streamers have taken to social media platforms to express their criticisms of the purple platform, Twitch.
Recently, a Twitter user and YouTuber made a scathing remark about Twitch, stating, "site sucks." In response, the notable YouTuber Ahgren engaged in a brief exchange, labeling it as the "dumbest reason." This interaction among Twitter users swiftly gained attention, generating considerable buzz and intrigue. Keep reading for further insights into this conversation.
‘Twitch is literally the worst site of the three’
In recent months, Twitch has encountered a series of confrontations with the streaming community, ranging from the introduction of new guidelines for branded content. However, the Amazon-owned platform has made some reversals, notably retracting the new branded content guidelines and more recently implementing the Partner Plus program. Despite these efforts, notable content creators have started to migrate to the emerging streaming platform Kick.
In contrast, Ahgren backed Twitch for the recent criticism made on Twitch, a Twitter user and the YouTuber criticized the purple platform, “Twitch is literally the worst site of the three. They ban people just because Pokimane doesn’t like them. Site sucks." The Twitter user showed hatred toward Twitch and called the platform the "worst site."
When Ahgren found the tweet, he defended Twitch by saying, “Of the hundreds of terrible things you could meaningfully criticize Twitch for I think you said the dumbest reason possible." While numerous fans have acknowledged the validity of the criticism, Ludwig remained steadfast in his position, offering additional justifications as to why users might harbor a distaste for Twitch. And he tweeted, “Twitch has zero ability to grow new creators Creators grow through Reddit, YT, TikTok, and bring people to Twitch and all of Twitch’s new product features are to extract more money out of viewers while simultaneously paying streamers less."
‘Twitch is best’
After reading the conversation, One user said, “Unfortunately this is an actual valid criticism. Twitch practices extreme favoritism, and poki is getting salty about kicks success because it marks the downfall and possible death of the platform that completely caters to her.” Another said, “Lud you really don't like Willy do you? Why do you continue to feel the need to reply to every one of his takes that you disagree with? You definitely don't do this with every youtuber in the space. One fan wrote, “True out of all streaming platforms I feel like rn twitch is best.”
