LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle was previously married to Trevor Engelson, a 46-year-old film producer and literary manager, before finding true love with Prince Harry. Engelson, on the other hand, has been married to heiress Tracey Kurland since 2019.
How long were Meghan Markle and Trevor Engelson married?
Having been married for two years, the couple filed for divorce in August 2013, citing "irreconcilable differences" in their marriage. They separated for good not long after that.
What happened after Trevor Engelson and Meghan Markle split?
Recently a friend of Engelson who saw him recently told Mail on Sunday, "For a long time, things were difficult for Trevor. He's a good guy but Meghan crushed him when she demanded a divorce," per Daily Mail.
The friend added, "When she took up with Prince Harry, he was crushed all over again because he was constantly reminded of her because of the publicity around the marriage and then the drama of the Oprah interview. But that's all in the past now."
They further said, "When I saw him recently, he kept going on about how he's the happiest he's ever been, how he loves being a dad and how he's never felt more fulfilled."
Why do Trevor Engelson's friends not mention Meghan Markle?
While Engelson and Markle divorced in 2014, almost ten years ago, his friend said, "Everyone in Trevor's life knows not to mention the 'M' word."
The friend, however, also added, "He's moved on and, in some ways, you could say he's having an even better life than Meghan. He probably has more money than she does now, he's doing what he loves and he's out of the spotlight. It's the ultimate revenge."
Who is Tracey Kurland?
In recent years, Trevor, 46, has seen both his personal and professional fortunes flourish.
He has been blissfully married to Kurland since 2019. Kurland is a dietician whose late father amassed a fortune worth $500 million in the mortgage. However, he unfortunately died from complications caused by Covid in 2021.
According to US news reports, Tracey received $250 million upon his death, per Daily Mail.
Tracey and Trevor have co-hosted a golf tournament in her father Standford Kurland's honor for the past two years, raising over a million dollars for the UCLA Neuro-Oncology Program.
The two reside on a large estate in an affluent LA neighborhood with their two young children.
The friend said, "They are a very close family and a great couple, Trevor adores his wife and his two little girls. When he's with them he never stops smiling."
Additionally, he has achieved success in his career. His Beverly Hills-based management and production business, Underground, produced the popular six-season crime drama Snowfall, which starred British actor Damson Idris. A follow-up program is in the works.
Engelson, who represents several upcoming stars, has been backing the current actors' and writers' strike very vocally, providing coffee and doughnuts to those on the picket lines.
