LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kevin Costner and his estranged wife Christine Baumgartner are reportedly hosting a major fundraiser at their luxurious oceanside estate amid their ongoing bitter divorce. The renowned American pop band Maroon 5 will headline the Kick Ash Bash created by the non-profit 805One for Santa Barbara County's first responders in September this year. The charity organization was founded as a result of the repercussions of the 2018 fires and Montecito mudslides.
Baumgartner's close friends have told Daily Mail that she is very much involved in the planning and plays a crucial part in the tightly-knit community. "Christine is very much a behind-the-scenes person and has offered a tremendous amount of support to the upcoming fundraiser with Maroon 5 in September which will be held on their property", her friends told the outlet. The highly waited fete will take place on Costner's 10.25-acre plot of land, situated down the street from his main $ 145 million residence, which is now at the center of his divorce battle.
'Christine has always been involved in the community'
People close to Baumgartner have agreed that the mother-of-three should stay part of the community as she has invested a considerable amount of money and time behind them. "Christine has always been involved in the community, whether it's helping out at the schools or raising money for different charities, she's there doing what she can to help. She's an integral part of the community", said her friends. "Kevin knows that finding a suitable place to rent in the Padaro Lane community is going to cost much more than what he was originally offering Christine", added another friend. The event poster says, "The Fall One805LIVE! concert is One805's flagship event, and will once again take place on the oceanside estate of Kevin and Christine Costner in Summerland."
The three-time Golden Globe Award winner bought his second property at an astounding amount of $ 28.5 million in 2006 after seeing it for a sale sign while jogging. He put it on the market for a short period of time for $ 60 million before taking it off. As per the event website, general admission is $150, VIP tables are $7,500 and $10,000 and cabanas are selling for $20,000. The full line-up of the event will be disclosed closer to the date. In 2018, the first Kick Ash Bash was headlined by Katy Perry and raised nearly $2 million for first responders and survivors of the fires and mudslides.
Baumgartner agrees to vacate the premises on August 31 this year
It has been previously reported Baumgartner has agreed to leave the mansion under the condition that Costner has to pay any support and fees that a judge orders at an upcoming hearing, the court filing says. Baumgartner agrees to vacate the premises on August 31 this year in the documents, as long as Costner complies "with whatever support and fee orders that the court makes on July 12", which is the date of the next hearing in their divorce proceedings.
She penned that she was uncertain initially to leave her home without having a proper plan and funding in place for the sake of her children whom she does not want move multiple times. "Kevin wants me to rent [a] place without [a] financial plan in place. However, [I] have our three children to think about. It is contrary to their best interests to commit to rental that [I] may not be able to afford, particularly as that would ultimately lead to multiple relocations", Baumgartner claimed. "My goal has been and continues to be maintaining as much stability for our children as possible, which includes having the proper resources and plan in place so that [I] can establish [a] stable home for them, rather than making temporary and inconsistent housing arrangements."
Costner is not only the sole breadwinner of the family but also the only one earning money, as Baumgartner stated in her filing that she has no income.
