MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Jonathan Majors, the 'Creed III' actor who was detained on March 25 on accusations of molesting, harassing, and strangling his romantic partner, is now being charged with acting "violently" on set. Coworkers of Majors' upcoming film, 'Magazine Dreams,' accused the actor in a recent report, stating that he was agitated and violent on set and that he used method acting as a justification for his actions. Producers of 'Magazine Dreams,' a Sundance film, allegedly advised crew workers not to interact with Majors because of his "method acting" techniques.
Since Majors' detention in March, many people have come forward to claim that the Marvel actor violated them, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Meanwhile, the Marvel star has also countersued her ex-partner. According to dozens of recent interviews with Rolling Stone, many have revealed that Majors has a history of abuse.
Jonathan Majors 'was completely disrespectful and kind of violent'
As per Insider, one production source from 'Magazine Dreams' claimed, "I’ve heard of different Method actors and how their behavior is, but none of them are violent or rude toward their crew," adding that Majors "was completely disrespectful and kind of violent toward everybody" and crew members were concerned they were "going to get hurt."
A second anonymous 'Magazine Dreams' crew member remarked, "You don't terrorize people with your character. It put everyone on a stress level because we can't do our job because we were afraid we were gonna get hurt." The production company behind 'Magazine Dreams,' Searchlight Pictures, and Majors' attorneys did not immediately respond for comment.
On the set of 'Magazine Dreams,' which centers on a bodybuilder battling wrath while aiming to become the best, production workers claimed that Majors used method acting and that they had been warned to stay away from him. Three individuals claimed that Majors' method acting made them feel "uncomfortable" and that he was "verbally aggressive" with the people he worked with, often yelling and swearing at them on set.
According to two additional 'Magazine Dreams' crew members, Majors allegedly pushed one of them away from him on the set while "moving in an intimidating manner toward the other while yelling." Although a complaint was lodged, a source with knowledge of the incident informed Rolling Stone that there was no physical interaction between Majors and the crew members during the altercation. According to multiple sources who spoke to the outlet, Majors was the subject of at least one complaint but received no discipline.
'The allegations that Mr Majors got physical are downright false'
Attorney Dustin A Pusch for Majors refuted the accusations in a response to Rolling Stone. "The allegations that Mr Majors got physical with or physically intimidated anyone on any movie set are downright false," Pusch said in a statement to Rolling Stone. As Majors' court date in the case in which he is accused of assaulting an ex-girlfriend approaches, Rolling Stone recently published a stinging examination into his background.
