LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are set to navigate their divorce without any financial disputes, thanks to their reportedly secure prenuptial agreement.
The Jonas Brothers star, 34, initiated divorce proceedings from 'The Game of Thrones' alum, 27, after four years of marriage and two children, with the date of filing listed as Tuesday, September 5.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner' have an 'ironclad' prenup
The divorce process for Jonas and Turner is expected to be relatively smooth, largely thanks to their "ironclad prenuptial agreement" that they signed "weeks before they were married."
According to The Blast, Jonas will retain all of his music royalties, while Turner will retain her earnings from her acting career.
Any property acquired before their marriage remains their respective assets, and they will share profits from their marital home.
The celebrity couple recently sold their Miami mansion, which they had bought in 2022.
Both Jonas and Turner will maintain the rights to their image and likeness, along with any businesses linked to their celebrity status.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's child support and custody battle arrangements
The only aspect that remains uncertain in Jonas and Turner's divorce proceedings is the custody and child support arrangements for their three-year-old daughter Willa and their one-year-old daughter.
These matters will be resolved by a judge, with child support amounts contingent on their respective monthly incomes.
If one party's income increases in the future, the child support arrangement can also be revisited and adjusted accordingly.
Jonas officially filed for divorce from Turner, stating their relationship as "irretrievably broken". He submitted the divorce papers in a Miami Dade County courtroom shortly after hiring a divorce lawyer.
Some reports alleged Turner's lifestyle, characterized by her excessive "partying," led to the divorce. This lifestyle clashed with Jonas, who is known to be more of a homebody.
Amid their divorce proceedings, Jonas has been actively touring with his brothers and bandmates, Nick, 30, and Kevin, 35.
Meanwhile, Turner has been busy with her work in the UK, filming the ITVX drama 'Joan' since May.
In this drama, she has undergone a transformation, embracing vintage looks for her lead role as the notorious British jewel thief Joan Hannington.
