LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Internet star Dixie D’Amelio recently addressed her potential participation in 'Dancing with the Stars' on the 'The Messenger' forum.
Following her younger sister Charli D’Amelio and partner Mark Ballas' victory in Season 31 of 'Dancing with the Stars' in 2022, there has been a surge of excitement and speculation regarding Dixie’s possible participation in the show.
During the recent celebration of D’Amelio footwear's inaugural pop-up event at the Grove in Los Angeles, Dixie took the opportunity to provide clarity amid speculations.
At first, she conveyed reservations about joining the 'Dancing with the Stars' cast, expressing concerns about how it might be perceived.
Later, she elaborated on her decision, offering a detailed explanation. Additionally, she shared her experience of witnessing her sister's victory in 2022.
Dixie D'Amelio addresses 'Dancing with the Stars' participation rumors
At the D'Amelio Footwear's inaugural pop-up at the Grove, Dixie disclosed to 'The Messenger' whether she is participating in 'Dancing with the Stars'.
She said, "Well, it was a thought about doing it, But I think the fact that I would probably get out week one after my little sister just won the entire show, it's just not gonna be a great look for me, so I had to pass on that."
Additionally, Dixie expressed her genuine admiration for her sister's journey on the show. "Being able to watch my sister is the coolest thing, I cried every week watching her dance,” she said.
“And it would be more funny if I did it. But I think we're gonna leave that to her," she added. Dixie D'Amelio explained her decision not to join 'Dancing with the Stars'.
Following the revelation, it became evident that her fans shouldn't expect to watch Dixie gracefully cha-chaing onto the ballroom floor anytime soon.
Charli D'Amelio ‘thankful’ for 'Dancing With The Stars' family
During the footwear pop-up inaugural, Charli D'Amelio also expressed her anticipation to know who is joining contestants Ariana Madix and Charity Lawson on 'Dancing With The Stars'. The complete cast will be revealed on September 13 during a 'Good Morning America' broadcast.
"Being on that show was such a pivotal, important moment in my life, and I learned so much throughout those few months. I'm so thankful for everything that show did for me as a person. It gave me my partner, Mark, and his wife, BC. That's a relationship that I'm so beyond thankful to have every single day." Charli D’Amelio explained.
Additionally, Charli said that she discovered a second family on 'Dancing With The Stars'.
"It's so funny with each shoe and each style how similar we all are, but we also have our own pieces of individuality. Everyone gets along really well and there aren't any arguments when it comes to it because we all get to see each other's vision. I think that really shines through with each of the collections," she added.
